2009 Survivor Off-Topic Chat

They still come out of the woodwork. This is a PM I just received from PrincessAirHead. Obviously, she reads but cannot comprehend the posts that are made here or anywhere on the board, the poor thing.

Well, here's further proof that these contests are being fixed and the winners are cheating to win a few lousy dollars.

You have received a new private message at Literotica Discussion Board from PrincessErin, entitled "someone's cranky".

I realize this will be deleted as soon as I post it, but it will remain up long enough for everyone to read the type of person PrincessAirHead is. She even admits that she had others helping her to write stories. She admits that she cheated to win the Survivor Contest.

Before you delete this post, Laurel, you should demand that PrincessAirHead pay you back the $500 that you gave her. Cheating should never be rewarded. She needs to be made an example of for anyone else trying to cheat in a contest. How dare you Erin. You are totally unbelievable. Did you think that I wouldn't copy and past your PM? Who is the crazy one now?

She won't post her hatred for me. She's more sneaky about it. What she does instead is sends me daily nasty PM's and she still bashing my stories. The woman has some serious head issues.

Moreover, she can't write for shit. She writes like some of the special needs students she gives lunches to in school as a lunch mother. That's right. She's not even a teacher. She's a lunch mother.

I don't know if you are aware of it, Freddie, but we often help each other here. Maybe you just have too much aninmosity toward other authors to realize it, but that is one of the purposes of AH. For instance, I recntly posted a request for info on civil marriages in England. It's for a chain story I am working on, by the way. I got the info I needed, and I will use it in finishing the story.

Others ask for help like this all the time. Many of my stories were written about real people; I asked them for details about their appearance and fantasies and they provided them and I incorporated the details in stories. We probably all ask others for help but, as long as we do the actual writing ourselves, there is nothing wrong with this.

That's true, Box. I've done many of those same things. Things like authors helping each other with critique or editing are not beyond the normal scope of writing. I would rather that authors did more of that.

However, "cheating" is something entirely different. I'm not saying that I believe Erin told BFW that she cheated. Quite frankly, I'm just sick of the drama between them. I have nothing personal against either of them. The whole "he said, she said" crap is just tired. I wish they would both just ignore each other or at least leave it off the boards. If the PM is true, it should have been forwarded to Laurel and left at that. That's just my opinion.

So, fight nice, people! Privately, please.

I knew your apology and "honest" congratulatory remarks to Erin were too good to be true, Freddie. You're too much of a sore loser to let things go.

But I wonder now, why does it really matter to you anymore? You're not in Survivor this year. You stopped posting your stories last year 5 days before the end of the contest, guaranteeing you wouldn't win.

Can't you just let it go already? Find something else to fill your worthless day.

I don't know if you realize it George, but PrincessAirHead still regularly sends me nasty PM's. Now, I'm tired of her bothering me and I've asked her nicely to stop. She still continues. Perhaps, by public humiliation, this will force her to leave me alone.

The fact that you turn everything on me, when in fact, I have not posted her, have not joined the contest this year, and have not even written a story, shows that you have it in for me, as well.

So fuck off, George.

Then I hope you will read my Earth Day submission...The New 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

"Reduce" meaning to reduce your consumption of items and reduce the amount of trash, etc. you and your household produce; to me, "reuse" kind of implies "repair", since things might have to be fixed up before they can be used again :)

Hello, Survivorites. Hope everyone is frantically writing :) (Well, maybe not right at this second, since it's pretty early in the morning, at least in the States.)

I wanted to let people know I've decided to withdraw from this year's competition. I have an e-book which was just released today and another coming in June, which I need to put some effort into promoting, and given my limited amount of time outside work and caring for my kids, I've chosen to devote that time to promoting what I've already had accepted and writing more for e-publishers.

Good luck to everyone who's participating. I'll still be around the forums to cheer y'all on :)

Congratulations on your writing successes, Karenna. I hope you sell a million copies of your E-books.

A warning however, many of these E-books publishers and distributors are one in the same and are mostly unregulated. Because they are not mainstream publishers, they fly beneath the radar.

They are not always honest with how many copies of your E-books are sold and how much royalties you have earned. I am not familiar with every E-book publisher. I do know that I was cheated with my E-books, which is why I pulled them and which is why I refused all other offers to write additional E-books.

I understand your joy. I just hope it is not short lived.

All the best,

Freddie

Thank you, Erin!

BFW, I appreciate your congratulations and your caution :) I'm sorry you had such a negative experience with your e-publisher.

Wife2, likewise; I've enjoyed checking in to see how far ahead of me you are. Good luck with the contest, and thanks for the congrats.

It depends on what it is but yes you're right. I'll be the first to admit that I am horrible and recycling and reusing. I hate junk in the house and it's easier to throw out then to find a home for it.

There are many waiting for your old 'junk' even the stuff that really is junk. Broken appliances or car parts etc may be in demand if only because they are not otherwise available and would allow an old car to live another year.

The problem, of course, is finding THOSE people when you want to purge your stuff. Many are willing to fix your stuff for reuse or just for fun.

Search for FREECYCLE or ECYCLE and you should find at least one national group that has thousands of local websites where you can list your stuff FREE. You can even list a WANTED post for a very varied stuff - common and oddball.

Remember, it isn't always about price... REusing little stuff can reduce the overall cost of producing and later trashing trash. I even reuse plastic produce and bread bags for single use food storage. Why PAY for a fancy, multi-use zip lock bag to store something messy or spoilable for a day and then trash the reuseable bag? I'll reuse zip locks, even when they have a small hole, for dry goods.

Every litter bit helps.... We Are One. ;-))

NEWS flash!

TWIMC ... I finally did it. Took me a long time, but I stared down the challenge!
As W.C. Fields said My boyyyy, there comes a time when you have to grab the bull by the tail and FACE the situation.

Wow, this was big!
