2023 "Tales of Leinyere" Story Event: Official Support Thread

After Nouh_Bdee graciously reviewed it, I did one final edit of my story, The Wood Knot Warrior Part 2, so I'm ready to submit with over half a month to go! I think I set a new record for myself on this one.

It also inspired me to begin The Wood Knot Warrior Part 3 for 2024! It's currently in a very rough outline draft but hey, it's a start!

Thanks!

I think I would also write a Half's Way-related story if there's another event in 2024. I'm tied up with other writing at the moment, but there's a lot I could do with established characters and the lore other folks have put together, and I'm already intrigued thinking about it.

It's fun! And low-impact. The key is that it's a shared world, but it's a forgiving one. There is room for discrepancy and overlap.

Hi, just finished my first draft and I'm double-checking to make sure that my story isn't breaking canon here.

I don't see anything written about Siochanta, or the wooded area west of the Jeruisce River, further inland. I turned the woodlands east of Bremasdon and Breagos into an area that used to be the site of widespread cult worship of Abasis, but has long since been reclaimed by the wild. Now, there are just abandoned shrines and chapels.

I also put a warren of rattens in there.

Is this contradicting any lore so far? Just want to make sure I haven't missed something.

@sparkwood, I can't recall anything out that way.
Okay, that's good. I'm not trying to take up the entire area, but my protagonist travels to a ratten warren 40 miles east inland from Breagor, and travels back from there to Bremasdon. He only finds woods, abandoned shrines and a hut before reaching farmland surrounding Bremason. So this doesn't have to take up the entire region.

Go for it!

It's your part of Leinyere now. Be as creative as you please!

Has anyone written anything about Talishpur? Any details on what that place is like?
Also, is it Giltan or Galtin? I've seen it written both ways. Thanks :giggle:

No idea about Talishpur, but I've always stuck to Giltan's.

On the map, it's Galtin's Port. Doesn't mean beings from other areas won't misspell it. 😉

Oh, FFS... I've misread it all this time.

Going to the source, @Blind_Justice had this. As he created the town, I'm going with his spelling. http://forum.literotica.com/showpost.php?p=93845943&postcount=83

@Nouh_Bdee, can you please fix the map?

Well. Fuck.

I just assumed everyone was going off the map. I can fix it in my new piece, if we're all going with Galtin's?

But in the end I agree with you: it hardly matters. San Fran, Frisco, and SF are all the same city, and none of them are how it's "really" spelled. We can brush it off that way if needed.

@Norway_1705 - Do your cartographers require the occasional pleasurable pursuits?

I could have my Silk lady visit them for an extended session. 🤔
I'm soo sorry! I never noticed your question. Yes of course, a Silk Lady can.
Magical Mapmakers (male and female, members of the Tower Guild at the top of Witch's Tit) often need the help of a "helper" (male or female) to "create" the map design with sperm floating in the air, or other vaginal fluids.
The map is formed in the air and then solidified on a suitable material, such as parchment, papyrus or donkey skin (really! it's true!). Each map is different (as in our medieval world). Languages and names according to the begger. More intense the orgasm, more accurate the map.
In addition, there are quite a few swindling charlatans, who claim to be mapmakers in taverns and courts only to be masturbated by barmaids. Among them, of course, some are really Magical Mapmakers, but drunk, forgetful, or become irrational by the inordinate use of The Shire's pipe-weed.
Beware: the spermatic drawing floats in the air a few seconds, if a helper is not quick to fix it on a suitable support (at least a tablecloth or a long skirt) it will disappear into the ground and remain only a vague memory in the eyes of the witnesses. That ephemeral cartographic trace so short-lived is called "sperm in the eyes"-do not try this at home; results may vary.

So it's January 1st, has anyone submitted their story already?

In the first post, Nouh Bdee mentions an event page. Do I need to access this page to submit the story? If so, where is it?

Or do I simply submit it as usual with “Tales of Leinyere” in the notes section?

Oh! Shit!

Thanks for the reminder! I'll get mine posted tonight, most likely.

Did we ever solve the Giltan/Galtin conundrum? Because I mention it frequently in my story. I've been using Giltan.

I'm going with Galtin's, but no drama

Mine's evolved. It'll be two stories now. We'd better have another series next year now. 😁

"Tales of Leinyere" in the notes. Also put the full title in the notes if it doesn't fit the normal field. Eg "Tales of Leinyere: A really long title".

Thanks. Is there an event page for the 2023 event? I'd like to include a link to it in my intro, but I can only find the 2022 event page.
