It prolly needs to be saved as a different file type to make file size smaller.

Best thing to do is take the original pic, crop it, and then "save as" either .gif. or .jpg. Unfortunately it needs to be some compressed format to make the size smaller. I took your pic and tried saving it as those and it looked kinda crappy lol.
