absolutely HUGE movement of White Male Submission

The author of that essay may indeed have a point - but here's a twist ...

There is a white male (20+ yrs my senior) I met at a munch that asked me twice if I was a Domme. Then 2 more times if I was SURE I wasn't a Domme.

I have never presented myself at this event as a Domme. If I have said anything that might be misleading, it is that, "I have recently returned to rl BDSM and I am exploring what I like and what I don't like. Right now, I am submissive." Unfortunately, if the way I carry myself contradicts that statement in someone's eyes, what am I to do? I am who I am - and my life experiences have made me ... me.

So, since I've been pretty clear that I am submissive, does anyone have any ideas why he still thinks I can - and at some time in the future will - Domme him? Thank you, kindly ...

That is my take on it. Some guys, if they aren't having any luck finding a domme, will ask subs in hopes that they are switches who can be persuaded to cross over..

Or seduce them with the offer of washing their windows....Worked for me.

FemDom shortage. Just ignore it, unless, of course, it appeals somehow.

Thank you - it does appeal, but I feel - neither prepared nor able - to be a suitable Domme. I've not learned all I must about being a submissive.

I do feel the desire - but I also feel the need to be at peace with my submissive inside. I can only quiet her if I give in, allow her to take her place and, truly, see which is stronger - my submissive influence or the Domme who lurks within.
