Ages?

I graduated from college the year that Netz was born and have known since about that time that sex was only satisfying for me if I had most of the control in the bedroom. It has only been fairly recently, though, that I've discovered the pleasures of having total control and in giving pain.

Everyone's been using '73 as a marker around me lately. Apparently my birth co-incided with H's 26 hour acid trip, never to be repeated, and my Bull's driving tractor and *running* off to go drive the neighbor's tractor for 3 bucks an hour because it actually had FM radio, not just AM.

Damn, I was already corrupted and on the road to hell according to some of my straighter freinds by the time Netz was born.....thanks guys, now I feel old!!!

Detail details - everyone has to get older, but they may still be uncool and uncorrupt.

Well, there was a lot happening in '73: Watergate, homosexuality is removed from the DSM-II, Dark Side of the Moon is released, Picasso and Salvador Allende died, beginning of the end of the Vietnam War...

I saw my "baby book" which, like mother like daughter trails off, so much for diaries and blogs.

"RM Nixon out" my mom had written under "news"

Aliens since replaced her brain with Fox network, dunno how that happened.

It's weird to me that I can relate comfortably to people who were watching all that happen while taking midterms in college or something, but when I meet hot little things who say "I watched fraggle rock when I was 3" I'm like *facepalm* - I don't feel "old" but it's this weird sense of "I am not on the same cultural planet" pulling me up short.

You're just a hair older than my wife. It's amazing how less than 5 years can make such a difference, but occasionally I will ask her if she remembers a certain song or a movie, or a favorite toy as a kid, and she will smirk at me and say, "Heh, no. I was in [insert lower school grade here] then. Remember? You're old!" And then laugh maniacally.

Can you tell, she's the top in the relationship?

LOL, I can relate. I had high hopes when both my children were born of keeping a journal for them both, mostly to do with health matters as I was tired of having to ask my own mother about things my doctors asked which I didn't know whether I had or had reacted like as a wee one..thought it would be so nice if they had a reference, especially if something happened to me by the time they got such questions. Hmmm, well didn't get far and it is still in the back of my mind to try and remember and update as best I can but so far it hasn't happened.
