Cherry is amazing.

Someone asked me this:

What is your favourite (woodworking) tool?

Controversial questions for a woodworker:

Phillips head or Robertson / Square Drive?

Type II or Polyurethane glue?

Power joiner or hand plane?

Pull saw or push saw?

Bevel up or bevel down?

Dovetails or Box Joint?

(Those of you who don't think these questions are about sex have never seen a tissue paper-thing slice of rock maple taken from a long board, curl up on the plane and fall to the floor in the pile with its brothers and sisters)

For most of my work, traditional slotted screws are most appropriate. For construction projects it's hard to beat square drive.

I have a bottle of poly glue. I should try it sometime.

I don't own a power jointer. My arthritis wishes i did.

I mostly use Japanese pull saws.

My best planes are L-N bevel up.

Early on I was in love with box joints but now I am dedicated to learn to do passable dovetails.

This wood talk is super hot.

Have you made anything with wood pertaining to bdsm? Like a paddle or ??

I have used tapered offcuts from making table legs as smacking instruments (think cane flexibility but an inch or more wide) but I have not made an implement from scratch. I used to own a gorgeous paddle made from tiger maple but I lost it when someone stole my golf clubs.

Do you need love to be a Dom to someone?
Describe your connection. Please.

I don't need love to begin but I definitely need the conditions in which it will develop. What is absolutely necessary from the beginning are respect and affection all around. If a relationship works, we become devoted to each other and to the relationship. Inevitably that devotion becomes loving, which is a verb.

If you could do one thing in life over again, what would it be and why?

What is your favorite thing to do on a quiet Sunday morning?

What is the best (most sage) advice you were ever given?

A major do-over? I can think of a few candidates but I'll settle on one: I think I might have been better suited for studying and practicing law than I thought when I was in college. My father had urged me to go to law school but I didn't believe it would be a good fit for me. While I enjoyed most of my working life, it wasn't as stable across the years as it might have been. It's quite possible that my father knew me better than I thought he did.

On Sundays I try to avoid social media. If the weather is good I often take a long walk on Sunday mornings. If not, I put on some classical music and open a good book.

When I was getting ready for college, my father advised me to forget that I knew how to play the card game Bridge. It takes a long time to play and can become an obsession. I never told anyone at college that I knew the game and by the end of my first year at least three of my friends had flunked out of school because they played too much Bridge. I wasted plenty of time as a student, but never like that.

How did you find Lit? What first brought you here? What keeps you here?

Like many people, I found Lit in a search for erotic stories. I think it was two or three years after finding and enjoying the story side of Lit that I found the forum. What keeps me here now is the people. This is a place where I can let an otherwise currently silent part of me have a voice with collegial people.

How do you like to be shown affection? Show affection?

Where did your interest in food begin?

Have you published anything you've written?

A few small things have been published. An erotic story found its way into an online magazine, for which I was "paid" with a copy of the original artwork that accompanied the story. A couple of my letters to the editor have appeared in national magazines, and I contributed to a couple of scientific journal articles when I was a student. Nothing major, though. No novels or screen plays, alas.

I like hugs and used to hug friends regularly back in the BC era (not THAT BC era). On a more personal level, I rather like sex as a way to express affection. In a perfect world, I would be getting a blowjob with my morning coffee most days. I don't live in a perfect world.

Would you be good enough to answer my second question please? (Yup, I'm Canadian.)

Oh, I'm sorry, sorry (2nd generation Canadian import).

My mother loved good food and was quite a good cook. I'm pretty sure her interest was what inspired me to be curious about different foods and it pais off in a zillion marvelous experiences.
