Happy belated Thanksgiving♥️

Describe what is your best part of your day....if you could, please.

What first gave you the thought of creating this thread? (Which is awesome, by the way)

What is something you've done in your work, even in consulting, that you are most proud of?

In our 27 years together, I've never seen J without his. I probably wouldn't recognize him without!

Have you ever wanted to live anywhere else?

I like where I live (on the shore of Lake Huron). I have lived most of my life within a 10-20 minute drive of one of the Lakes, and now I am exactly one kilometer from the beach. I love it here. If I were to move it would have to be closer to the water,.

I briefly considered a move to the Yukon.

What's your reaction to stress? Some react with anger or impatience.[/QUOTE]

I have a short temper that I must work at keeping under control. It does with the (once) red hair lol. Stress surprisingly is not an automatic trigger

What would I find if I was assigned to clean the top of your refrigerator?

A loaf of Winnipeg Rye bread, some sourdough rolls, two boxes of unfrozen freezies, one open. And my secret stash of 4:25 mini bars (like an Oh Henry bar without the chocolate; Do those exist outside of Canada?).

Thank you.

Its the early morning when its just me and the dogs and the cat. My quiet time. I walk the pup around 5am (I am usually up around 4:40 or so). I sometimes surf here, or write or just think until the onslaught at 7 when I send the pup in to wake my GS and wake my wife.

I copied Pimalex, Bramblethorn, Seela, Fara, Meek Me, Pervy Sage and Honey. (I think that was the order). It is a brilliant idea and as I always say: If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then plagiarism is the purest form of theft :)

In all modesty, I once saved the company. I planned and executed what we refer to as a FOAK job (First Of A Kind), just in time to meet a deadline.

Never seen them but I found these online so I guess we could get them here. (Sorry it's a large image) They look to be a variety of Oh Henry.

That's actually the bag I have. The label indicates that they are ideal for hunger pangs that strike immediately after 4:20. They are an Oh Henry without the chocolate, so peanuts and sort of fudge.

Evidently they were only available for the summer :(

Have I told you I think you're an awesome friend today?

I was in an area right on the water today. An island, Cobb Island, here in Maryland. It was beautiful. I can see the attraction to it. One question...have you been in many flooding situations, being so close to the water?

Thank you. And, thanks for posting my favourite Catwoman as your Av.

I've only been close once. Ontario has extensive flood protection after the devastation following Hurricane Hazel in 1954 (I don't think there has ever been another actual hurricane cross the Great Lakes)

Anyways, when I lived near Lake Erie lake levels were as high as they are now (near-record). Lake Erie being relatively shallow compared to the other four lakes, the water "tilts" or gets "piled up" usually near the Niagara River, due to the prevailing West winds. A Southwest wind one December pushed the water into the Northeastern shore instead of the Eastern shore. The little town I lived near has a very flat beach. The water was pushed two blocks off the beach and was sitting three feet deep at the traffic light (If there are any bikers around here it was Port Dover Ontario). This was a couple of days before Christmas and I was heading to the Office Christmas party at a restaurant on the beach. I didn't make it of course, but a few people were stranded in the restaurant for a couple of hours.

Where I live now there is about a 30 foot hill at the end of the street leading to the beach (the bottom of the ancient lake that was here before the last glacier). so if I get flooded, we're all in a lot of trouble!

Is there some significance to 4:20 in Canada? Or is that merely their marketing ploy?

Every time I see your name, my brain thinks it's FANTASTIC

When you come to Lit, what are the first threads you go to?

What is your hobby?

Do you have a man cave? A place where you go and tinker on things where your wife rarely goes.

What other place would you go to see the sun rise other than the beach?

Well I was such a goody two shoes growing up in a very small town. I never learned about that stuff and had no idea there was even anything like that near us until the major drug bust that occurred a year after I moved away.

I did NOT sit at the cool kids table.

Me neither. I learned it from my kid hehehe.

What is your hobby?

Wood working. That is I work wood. Mostly Hardwood. A lot of repetitive motion...

Seriously, I love woodworking.

I have my wood shop (the dogs don't even go in there) and soon, a Man Shed in the back yard.

I love to be on the shore of a small northern lake. (I guess that's still the beach, huh?)

Or to watch it rise late through the trees on a winter morning as I step out of my tent (I LOVE winter camping)

Good morning:heart:I see you're here.

What is your all time favorite movie to watch in this time of year?

Good morning! Good to see another early riser.

No question: Young Frankenstein (Rocky Horror is a close second. They make a great double-bill)

Been up since 5am. If I could, I'd take a long drive in a different area in the state of Maryland to experience the beauty of the many sights contained here. Example: seeing the sun rise from the road leading across the Chesapeake Bay bridge.

When was the last time you were filled with so much excited expectations that made it made you giddy? What was it?

I don't get that way very much. I look forward to seeing my GS on Christmas morning, like any grandfather. I guess it was a family vacation to the Caribbean for Christmas 2018. It was so different than "normal". That's the purpose of a vacation right?

I know your GS is important to you. What experience would you would like to have him partake in with you that you weren't privy to as a youth?

Where would you like to travel to (post pandemic)?

Because of what was seen of how the pandemic was handled for cruise lines, would you ever go on one again...post pandemic?

He loves the water, so I would like to see if he's interested in SCUBA (I was 50 when I tried it).

I still love the Caribbean. Any of the places I listed as a Lit-together spot: The DR, Trinidad, Costa Rica (Island of Rotan), Turks and Caicos. One of those places, or back to Cozumel or Barbados.

I was never that interested in a Cruise on a liner (I had thought of a much-smaller Island Hopping cruise on a sail boat, but that's camping at sea, not luxury cruising). I don't have any interest in a cruise now. I'm not even sure about a plane.

What is your most proudest piece of wood carving?

You'll laugh. When I was helping go through the stuff from my Mom's after we sold her house, I found the very first thing I ever made: it was a coaster with my initials on it in the shape of a hexagon (it was traced from a Molson Export Ale label). My Dad used it for years. I'm kind of amazed.
What is your largest wood carving piece?

I made my nephew a rocking bear (instead of a rocking horse) when he was four.
