Anal Use of a sub

There's one other thing I should make clear... or maybe a couple. And then I'll shut up about this. I know it's not interesting to anyone really.

There are lots of different strains of E.coli. Some don't make you sick, at all. Sometimes you get mildly sick and don't even realize that it was E.coli that made you that way. (People will chalk it up to a stomach virus or the flu and never even realize it.)

It's the scary strains that I am talking about. The ones that can and do make you sick. And in the case of GI invaded (or enteroinvasive E.coli) antibiotics are not really effective.

Then there's the post that rebecca made. Another scary Hepatitis disease. One that no one wants to get. You will recover from A but it's still no fun for the months you have it.

And lastly, I like anal sex. I just want it done properly... anal sex, for me, is the last hole to ram a dick in. Again, that's just me and these are just my opinions.

I realize the health reasons for not taking a cock out of the ass and putting it in the pussy or mouth. So I am not trying to be some kind of smart ass here. I was just wondering if any of you saw any different between doing that and using your tongue on someones ass. Wouldn't you come into contact with the same bacteria or viruses or whatever? I think I can understand the attraction of the "idea" of using a girl in this manner but I doubt it would hold up in real use.

I believe, although I cannot speak for ADR, that the inclusion of any act that results in the introduction of improper bacteria to the body is truly the heart of the matter. The risks may vary by act.

Each system of the body maintains its own natural bacteria flora. When any foreign or unnatural bacterium is introduced, there is a risk of illness. Said illness may be as minor as something similar to "a little bug" or yeast infection, but could possibly elicit a more serious response such as death.

Yes. Exactly what kajiraahava said.

Many women will tell you that when they take certain ABTs they get a yeast infection. When I am taking tetracycline I get one. It's because the ABTs also supress the 'good' flora in my vagina and that allows the yeast to flourish and take over. So when you either supress the good flora or you introduce bad flora to a place it does not belong, you will get some kind of sick.

There are lots of people here who are into scat and anal stuff. I know lots of men who like being tongued in the ass. And lots who fantasize about it. (I take care of lots of older gentlemen who love enemas and suppostitories for this VERY reason.) I understand the drive behind your desires. Enemas and condoms will reduce the risks but it is not a fool proof, 100% prevention measure. And touging an asshole is just as, if not more, risky. My Dom loved to be tongued in the ass.

As I said before, I like being butt-fucked... I just want it done in an order that won't provide me the possiblity of getting sick. Every UTI that I've had in the last 10 years, which is 4, and I never had one before that, has been the direct result of "sloppy" and rough sex. I am now in a health position in my life where I don't want to take those risks and I don't want an infection of any kind... including a cold.

I don't know any Doms who want to make their subs sick, either.

If you are willing to take those risks, then carry on and have fun. :)

I hope I've made sense, because I can't see for shit this morning. My contacts are really bugging me.

PS Thank you to kajiraahava for introducing "flora" to this discussion. GREAT word!!!

ROFL! That was simply out of ignorance, I hope you realize. Erm, couldn't figure out a different way to say it...in 50 words or less, that is.

OMG!! I am currently watching A&E... They are doing a City Confidential on what else but E. coli!!! Can you guys even believe this?!?!

There are tons of episodes and I happen to be watching the coverage of San Leandro, CA... The whole Jack In A Box incident....there is more to the story than the people becoming ill from eating meat at the fast food place.

For the sake of brevity, Stuart Alexander was sentenced to Death for murdering 3 meat inspectors. Apparently, the meat industry had lax restrictions or free reign on their meat prep. When more strict State and Federal requirements were imposed, Mr. Alexander (the Sausage King of San Leandro) refused to cook his meats at the required higher temperature. Something about not wanting to replace his smoker.

Essentially, I have told the story backwards. Please forgive all of my gibberish - one would think that I was a child at Christmas. Living in the Eastern US, I wasn't aware of the whole story.

Odd occurrences like this just creep me out - but not in a bad way. This is insanely cool. It's not every day you turn on the television and see a "Mystery" on E coli. ;) I am certan that I am out of my mind now. Ha!

Oh shit... and I was watching Biography.

I turned it over there right now!!! Thanks for the heads up on this. ;-)

Do you have any idea how twisted this picture is - going batty over sausage and E coli.

I feel silly enough for my previous post. However, I would never yank one - just chalk it up to temporary insanity. Thanks!

Heyyyy wait a minute. I almost hit submit when I realized, you said "shit". :D

Apparently my sense of humor causes me to pull things from left field. One of the people here just stared at me over the "shit" joke. I was referencing E coli transmission, anal sex, transmission of pathogen... ah, I give! At times, it is best that we all live in our little bubbles, myself more specifically. <<laughs>>

I didn't know this happened to so many women - it happens to my wife every time she is on antibiotics, but she is pretty delicately balanced so I figured it was a rare thing.

No, it's not at all rare. I think a lot of women just don't talk about it. The 2 yeast infections I've had in my life were directly a result of ABTs.

And they're so not fun. LOL

Oh and one other thing. When I ask a woman about her drug allergies, many times they will tell me this. Again, for those who don't know, this is an adverse reaction, not an allergy. And yes, it's very important to tell your Dr. or other health care person that you've had this reaction. But it's not an allergy.

No, <<butting in>> actually, I am under the impression that I am in the minority by NOT having that issue. Women who have this difficulty tend to repeat a similar response each time. Physicians will tend to work around that by prescribing a different ABT. For example, if Erythromycin causes a yeast infection one time, they will move to an equally effective treatment such as Keflex.

(I have thrown two random meds out there. In no way do I intend to imply that these are legitimate replacements for one another.)

And, while we're throwing "shit" around. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) Another example that may be more pertinent to this conversation is the natural flora of bacteria in the GI tract. Some people experience diarrhea when taking antibiotics. Again, something natural is being "killed off" accidentally while the "cooties" are being treated.

Prime example of the GI (Gastrointestinal) tract being different from the GU (Genitourinary) system being different from the oral cavity... etc. Each system has its own set of bacterial components, one is not like the other.

Oopsie, sorry ADR... This is what happens when I am in the middle of a post and become distracted. Next thing I know, I hit submit and voila.

My apologies

Great points all. Good on ya!!! ;-)

acidophilus

Studies are mixed on this. Some people swear it works. Or that eating yogurt helps. It's been years since I had this happen to me but I think I'd be inclined to try it, for myself.

Good advice, KC. Sure can't hurt to try it.

And let me add that personally, I am not an advocate of drugs. They certainly have a place (I take Dilantin daily to prevent another seizure) but sometimes there are other options that work too.

I get tummy issues and/or yeast infections from just about any antibiotic i take. starting acidophilus before the antibiotic and continuing to take it throughout prevents it every time. I have been to lazy in the past or have forgotten and regretted it. I buy a bottle every time i fill a script because if it is old (the acidophilus) it doesnt work as well.

;-) well i can't just add a smile here. Not enough characters... lol sheeeeesh so I'll just keep typing...

The only ABT that has ever caused me a yeast infection is tetracyline. I'm glad of that. I can take E-mycin or Macrodantin... not too many other options available to me. But they don't make me sick or anything else. That's good for me.

I read LordHawk's post at work and almost responded then - except I can't get on this site at work ...

Thank you ADR (and others) for such valuable information. It is true that enemas and condoms reduce the risks; but, a physician friend of mine said something as simple as good shower before rimming offers more risk reduction. I've learned the health department prefers that culinary workers (those who cook - not those who serve) wash their hands over wearing gloves because gloves, by their very nature, can trap bacteria on the skin where it multiplies exponentially from the warmth and wetness inside (former Culinary Executive Assistant speaking). With non-exclusive partners, I always start with a shower (using a good quality soap) and use saran wrap as a barrier in a rim session - it covers a much larger area (I have a well stocked toy bag).

An observation about LordHawk's post in regard to using a tongue on/in the anus:

Thinking about how far inside the tongue goes ... if one has a tongue that can reach as deeply as the average cock, they can set ANY price for a tongue bath and make a fortune in short order.

OTOH, if they have a cock shorter than the average tongue ... (Ohhhhhh ... that thought is too horrible to even complete ... )

And I have experienced a male whose member was ... well, let's just say I have fingers longer and wider ...

Quote : Porn Industry Health Document
There is currently a trendy fetish for ass-to-mouth contact, using everything from penises and fingers to sex toys, and there are even a few porn series specifically devoted to showing the practice. Ass-to-mouth contact puts the recipient at great risk for contracting Hepatitis A, which can be treated but not cured. The penetrator is at no risk in this situation. Hepatitis A comes from getting fecal matter in the mouth, and many starlets reduce their chances by taking multiple enemas before anal sex scenes, though this is not a foolproof measure.
This implies that you can give Hepatitis to yourself, which seems unlikely. Unless I'm missing something, you can only get Hepatitis from someone who already has it. If it's your own fecal matter, it may make you sick in others way but it can't give you a disease you don't already have.

OK, near thread killer! lol

I understand what you're saying about the inability to give yourself a disease you don't already have and what rebecca said about transmission is true (From the CDC):

TRANSMISSION: HAV ("Hepatitis A Virus") is found in the stool (feces) of persons with Hepatitis A. HAV is usually spread from person to person by putting something in the mouth (even though it may look clean) that has been contaminated with the stool of a person with hepatitis A. http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/hepatitis/a/fact.htm

So, yes - If I don't already have Hepatitis A, I can't get it by sucking a cock that's been pulled out of my a$$ and put into my mouth. Unfortunately, I can catch it when rimming someone or sucking a cock that's been pulled out of the a$$ of someone who DOES have HAV.

But, EWWWW ... even though you can't contract HAV from yourself, there are plenty of other nasty things you CAN catch from what comes out of your own anal cavity. Be safe out there ...
