Got a bottle of a sturdy looking McLaren Vale shiraz to go with the pizza tonight, which will follow gin and tonics galore.
 
I have broken free of my Loon rut and am sipping a Spanish wine, Burgans Albariño. Very, very nice. I see the makings of a new rut in my future... :rolleyes:

Someday I'm going to live in a time zone where I don't read the posts here and imagine all of you pie-eyed at 2:30 in the afternoon!

I'm being very bad and having a diet coke with my tuna sandwich. Gasp. Oooo, I feel lightheaded.

Sorry, I've been having a good writing day and I'm a little giddy.

(MWY, I was gifted a large bottle of gin and a bottle of tonic, so I may be joining your G&T rampage in about five hours).
 
Nobilo Sauv Blanc.

I just cooked up some local pork sausage with kale and mushrooms that came in my local veggie delivery bag with whole wheat pasta. I have to say. This shit is good. I rock.
 
A husband walks into the bedroom holding two aspirin and a glass of water.

"It's for your headache."

"I don't have a headache." she says.

He replies, "Gotcha!"

My local wine store is having a summer sale, so I have stocked up on a few.

Martin Codax Albariño (really, the perfect summer wine...the Albariño grape, anyway)
Cartligde & Brown Chard
And a few others I'm testing...

Although no testing at the moment since I'm sticking to the no wine on school nights rule right now.

I'm off to dream about AA's beautiful roses and the promise of his (or anyone else's tomatoes). I can only raise the minimum, garden-wise. And tomatoes just don't thrive well here.

But I think I would sell my soul for a real tomato.

With the help of a knowledgeable and, I must say, attractive sommelier, tonight's dinner of mahi mahi on gorgonzola mashed potatoes was made even more delicious with the selection of a Cartlidge and Brown zinfandel.

I'm drinking white wine tonight, BTW. Not sure what brand but I know it's a Sauv blanc. We only have a couple of brands here. I felt wine-ish tonight, which is rare, and now MWY has me yearning for carrot cake. (From the carrot/stick thread).

Great art in one of the hottest social events in town

Dude... not gonna happen.

I go to this event every chance I get (it occurs monthly). In the two years I've been going, I've not been approached by a man once. Women compliment my dress, heels, handbag, but men do not approach me.
