I'd quite like to know what medium 3 was done in - paint?

Comment on 1 - I really like the concept of the kept woman, and the fact that the lock has been painted-over long enough ago that the paint is crackly adds a nice implication that her existence is a long-standing secret. I spent a few moments wondering why no screw slots were visible through the paint, but then thought perhaps they were nails.
so, are we dropping the pretense of anonymous submissions?
Er... what? Did I totally misinterpret what I was looking at or something?

You're the one who told me I ought to comment on other people's pieces if I wanted comments on mine. I'm a lot more interested in commenting on new pieces than old ones.
Yes, I stand by that.
However, then it becomes very tempting for each illustrator to respond to those comments.
That's all.
I don't mind discussing techniques and what not in depth after each contest has ended, though.
that is my opinion as well.
discussion ahead of the poll closing can (should?) influence the votes.
I am willing to dicuss the ramifications of that too.
ok so I guess I jumped the gun, I thought we were gonna discuss, sorry bout that.
just not a consensus yet...though we can "discuss" in a stilted manner! heh heh
hmm you may have to lead on that one T. Ill just duck my head and start working on Blanket
I want to encourage the people who just come to vote to comment - I'd way rather have a comment than a vote.
I'll be pretty thoroughly bored of each batch of pieces by the time the voting is over, including mine, but I do want to follow whatever rules the group agrees on, not trying to be a troublemaker. So people can either wait to respond to my comments or respond to them in PM I guess. Since I already voted I don't think it matters if I get confirmation now of which artist did what.

my 2 cents. I would like to keep voting and art anonymous.
Would love discussion afterwards about concepts, techniques, etc..
I agree with Irezumi, we can often guess the artist pretty accurately but the secret keeps the mystery.
ooooo Sekrits!!!!
me too.
