I always have final say in everything. But it isn't as if he asks permission to breathe! That's too much work. If I want something "new" done, I leave him a list or kindly inform him of my desire that he accomplish the task as soon as he can. It's no big thing. Yeah it is a form of 24/7 because he always defers to my final say, but it isn't a big deal. I don't need the extra work.

When he's slow to do chores, we have a "serious" discussion. Usually on how it effects me that he hasn't done his chores promptly. (Like dirty dishes making it difficult to make food, or the bed left unmade means I have to stay up until he makes it.)

Other than these rare discussion I am only "serious" during a scene. I will always be serious when raising a flogger or paddle. To not be is to risk harm.

Mostly it is laughter and giggles. That's what life should be.

I think the variety of Doms & Dommes and subs is like viewing the ice cream case at the grocery store.

Some are Rocky Road, some are like marshmellow swirl.

I think if you know who you are, and you feel comfortable with that knowledge, then you are less prone to "act out" in "bizarre ways.

If I understand myself correctly, what I am sexually is an intrinsic part of my total personality makeup. I can't deny or pretend to be other then what I am.

That said, what I am is for my partner (if I actually had one), and me to explore and enjoy. I'm a private and monogamous person, you won't see me dressed in leather being paraded about for the throngs.

Subs sometimes forget that they are responsible for their own happiness, they have the right, the obligation actually, to behave and participate only in those relationships that bring them pleasure and complete their personality. Subs should never view themselves as "mere toys" that have no needs, subs do not exist solely to respond to a Dom or Domme's demands.

There is a deep pleasure in serving, not true when being a merely a doormat.

I was once blessed with having a relationship with a wonderful Domme, she was able to express her desires and nurture my ability and alsoallowed me to embrace and accept this facet of myself. Yet I was never the doormat.
