Ask a Dom

hi there ! Sometimes I like to be totally used for my husbands pleasure. I will take something to make me to the edge of sleepiness like simply sleep or tylenol pm . My question is this type of "drugging" ever an element in BDSM play?

Go real easy with the Tylenol, that’s deadly stuff, and definitely don’t drink if you are doing this.

Tylenol is the number one over the counter drug for the suicidal. It really doesn’t take much to kill yourself, and you don’t even need to take it all at once, taking it over a day or two will have the same effect. Once you have overdose your liver fails over the course of about 2 weeks. Only way to survive is to get treatment early.

Stick to the directions, that’s for sure.

There are also other safer ways to make yourself drowsy.

~ I have done this many times. Tylenol is the safer alternative in regards to using somthing like Vicoden. I generally don't drink for any reason.

Links??? Care to back this up??

It takes A LOT of Tylenol for the average person to get anything close to an overdose. The recommended dosage is based on a 150LB man. If you weigh more, your body will not feel the effects of the normal dose and it is acceptable to take more. In order for a 150LB person to OD on Tylenol PM, they would have to take 6 tablets all at once.

It's that time again

Sensation Play

I am interested in exploring sensation play with my pyl, using things like bengay/ tiger balm etc... however, I know that sometimes with such things he can cross quickly from "interesting sensation" to "kinda freaking me out". Is there anything one can use along these lines that can be quickly removed, or have the sensation quickly diminished?

Thanks :D

That's a good question. And, I don't know if there is an answer that is for sure what you're looking for. In the use of things like Bengay, Vics and Tiger Balm, I'd suggest a little goes a long way at first, so you can judge how much is right for you or more importantly, for your pyl. Everybody feels sensations differently, and so individual choice is key, here. Like the very old Brill Cream commercial said...a little dab will do 'ya (sorry, you might not even know what Brill Cream was).

In the use of ginger, there might be a better solution. In things such as this and other natural pepper oils, I've heard that there are things that one can use to stop the heat, quicker.

Now, don't take my word for it, but some have said that with ginger or pepper oil that vinegar can stop the pain. Personally, I've found it to be only a short-term remedy. And, it stinks unless you are eating a salad.

Others have said that milk will do the trick. In some cases, I've heard that cooking oil or something like that will cut the heat, because the substance causing the pain/heat is an oil so an oil is necessary to dilute it. Water based solutions are pretty much useless.

In my job, I was required to be sprayed in the face with police grade pepper spray. It's suppose to make you more sensitive to the pain, so you are less likely to spray someone, unless it's absolutely necessary. It's a compassion thing.

We were given a soapy solution and a clear water solution to wash our faces with, but because the pepper spray is oil based, these solutions were useless. I pretty much took command of the garden hose that was there, and had it running over my face and eye. That worked only as long as the water was flowing over my face. As soon as I removed the hose, the pain and burning returned. I'm sure that was just because the water was cool. Suffice it to say the people in charge knew nothing about how to remove the burn. I wish I had known then, what I know now.

WARNING!!
I've also heard bleach can be used, but I don't advise that. Bleach is a nasty liquid to be using on such sensitive skin. You might make your situation worse, instead of better.

I heard that someone called the poison control center in their moment of pain. The PCC said to soak the area in an antacid, specifically Mylanta. That works for some. And, I've also heard that a topical cream of Benadryl sometimes works.

If you get carried away and get some of this in your eyes, flush with milk. Capsaicin is an oil. Keep that in mind, if you are trying to dilute it. I've read that milk and other products are one of the most effective forms of relief..."casein, a phosphoprotein found in milk, acts as a detergent to dissociate the capsaicin from nerve receptors, allowing it to wash away." And, because it's not damaging to your skin, milk could be used without fear of making the situation worse on other sensitive areas.

In Wkipedia, they recommend "...Capsaicin could be washed off the skin using soap, shampoo, or other detergents, or rubbed off with oily compounds such as vegetable oil, paraffin oil, petroleum jelly (Vaseline), cremes, or polyethylene glycol. Plain water, as well as home remedies such as vinegar, bleach, sodium metabisulfite, or topical antacid suspensions are ineffective in removing capsaicin. (Personally, if you can stand the smell, I do think vinegar works, but just for a while).

Burning and pain symptoms can be effectively relieved by cooling, e.g., from ice, cold water, cold bottles, cold surfaces, or a flow of air from wind or a fan. In severe cases, eye burn might be treated symptomatically with topical ophthalmic anesthetics; mucous membrane burn with lidocaine gel."

But, it should be mentioned that capsaicin does not burn your skin. What it does is create a sensation that simulates a burning sensation. Not to get too technical, it's a kind of chemical reaction with the sensory neurons and that causes the feeling to simulate burning. In the more sensitive skin, the nerve endings are closer to the surface and so they are more susceptible to this sensation. Some of these sensitive areas would be anus, clit, vagina, penis and scrotum, mouth and lips, as well as the inside tissue of every body orifice (mouth, vagina, anus, and penis).

Because they leave a cool sensation when applied to skin, try some rubbing alcohol or vodka. You might find they work for you. They are said to cut the oil, then you should follow up with some kind of lotion or ointment. Keep them all in the refrigerator, for that added cool sensation.

I've talked mostly about capsaicin. which is the heat producing oil in a hot pepper. There is also piperine, the active ingredient in black pepper. But, ginger root also has a heat producing oil, and I think it's much better for sensation play. Google "figging", if you aren't aware of how ginger root has been used as a punishment, over the years.

And, with ginger, the heat will go away on its own, after about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the individual. I'm assuming that the capsaicin oil is the same, but I'm not that familiar with it in that way.

If I were you, I'd check out the use of ginger for sensation play. And, besides googling ginger, there is at least one thread here that has info and first hand testimonials on the use of ginger. If I remember the thread, I'll come back and post a link.

Again, everybody is different, so some of these might not work for you. Take our time at first. Go slow, and test what works best for you. Then, slowly increase the ginger or pepper oil to see how it goes. Don't go beyond your safety zone, until you know what works for you.

I've heard what you've described as a "sleepy fetish", and it is (IMHO) on the hairy edge of BDSM. I'd strongly recommend that you (and more to the point, your husband) check out the possibilities of using hypnosis; trancing you out and/or establishing triggers will be more controllable (by him) and safer than any sort of medication and easier in the long run. You might check out the following (free-download) PDF book, it's essentially Erotic Hypnosis 101:

I heard she's taking a break from posting. But, she'll be back, if she knows what's good for her!!:D

Thanks.

I guess she just likes abandoning things until they are convenient for her.
