a priceless moment in bistro history. i will be running this back on mental replay for days. made me giggle. thank you.

I don't have the digital cam at the moment for this specific piece, but they're like this only somewhat smaller. Like half a peppercorn, about that size.

Yummy, but a pain in the ass. It's untreated amber, so they're very fragile. argh.

Happily, I'm done. I'd leave the shop cause I could actually go home early today but it's just so wonderful here in Lit that I can't tear myself away.

Thank you, UYS. Thanks for your comment. You made a good point. I had the old woman warn Carrie, just because Carrie is the only woman and the owner of the property is old-fashioned. But, as you pointed out, I can see how that can give readers the expectation that something will happen to Carrie.

bj, I really appreciate you starting that thread in PF&D. I think it has fostered a productive discussion. I hope you didn't take my venting yesterday as anything against you. Even with anything that I didn't agree on, my intention was not at all to pick on you in any way. I'm the kind of person who can find it easy to agree to disagree and accept constructive criticism as potential assistance as long as the respect is there.

I'm actually very pleased with the conversation that you started with that thread. I guess I'll hold onto my review day. I feel safe enough to do that. But, I just can't post any poetry for awhile. And that has to do with ME & my shit-- not anyone else.

update- i got some nice & helpful comments on my story. The score sucks, but I've come to expect that during a contest, especially in the beginning.

Upon examination, yes I think it is. A pink knitted gun cozy with Hello Kitty on it.

I think that creates a whole new category for the oxymoron thread concept - visual oxymorons. Cause I really can't think of anything more contradictory, right off hand.

Maybe a huge dildo engraved with Bible verses. I dunno, just brainstorming.
