The dream you are living is your creation. It is your perception of reality that you can change at any time. You have the power to create hell, and you have the power to create heaven. Why not dream a different dream? Why not use your mind, your imagination, and your emotions to dream heaven? ~ Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements.

Very nice quote, Fury. We certainly do live in our own made heavens and hells. We just need to focus on the positives, especially using our imaginations. Too many people don't these days.

It is often hard to remember or believe that we have the power within ourselves that we do. It's all to easy to blame others for our self made hells or praise them for our self made heavens.

At times, when life is especially cruel nothing makes any sense and all such self help philosophies go out the window seeming to be pure bullshit people mainline like addicts and fools. I understand that. I've been there too often.

Still, I believe it's a worthy pursuit to work toward understanding our own contribution to our mind sets despite most "out side" stimulus and circumstances. When we do allow for our own power and responsibility great things can be done.

We have the power to make choices, to take risks, to project, to perceive, to interact, and to master the dream. We can become a dream artist and create the most beautiful masterpiece of art with the dream of our life. ~ Don Miguel Ruiz

"Just use your imagination and a tremendous thing will happen. Imagine that you have the ability to see the world with different eyes, whenever you choose. Each time you open your eyes, you see the world around you in a different way." ~ Don Miguel Ruiz

So I watched the movie the other day that I sort of took the title for this thread from. I have to say, WTF?

I have no idea why Tom went nuts when his wife told him about a fantasy and later a dream which might have paralleled some of the shit he had just done that night/morning.

Nicole's flesh looked hot as hell! If only she could have kept her breathing and speaking under control.

Tom's character was a dumb ass.

The piano player was totally wasted at the mansion. A monkey could have played what he did or a recording, that was totally implausible.

It was never explained just what in the hell was going on at the mansion. Was this some strange Dolcett Girl club with a bit of satanic or masquerade trappings just to make it stranger or what?

This drug addict beauty queen felt she owed Tom her life? What? Just because he was nice to her during a semi od one night?

Nicole's reaction to hearing that her husband almost fucked a hooker and put thier lives in danger is, we have to fuck really soon? Riiight!

How did they two of them make a pudgy looking child like that?

This is so sad to make a mess of a movie like this. It had some good elements. Most of them involved nudity. *L*

So much easier said than done. If given the least bit of room, the gears of my mind continue to turn. Often, I'm never aware that I am not thinking, just enjoying, whereupon my brain reverts back to churning again. Grrrr!

I don't ever want to hear you allude to even the possibily that you may be a dumb ass again, do you hear me? LOL!

The title, sorry I forgot to put that in my bad, is Eyes Wide Shut.

Too bad that was his last movie Kubrick had some style with Clockwork Orange and Eyes Wide Shut. I know he did some other movies but I can't think of them off the top of my head and not sure they are sexual either.

I didn't see much style here just a mismatched mess but I haven't seen A Clockwork Orange. In fact, I've against seeing it as I thought it was anti women but now I might be open to watching it. I'm going to go look up the storyline.

I am nearly always thinking, dirty awful things, at least if I'm going to "get" anywhere I am. If I was topping me and I knew that about me, it would sort of piss me off too.

Thanks, for the info. I thought the movie was interesting to a degree but not really up to Kubrick's standards. It made you think but certainly not to the degree that 2001, Clockwork Orange and Dr Strangelove did. Evrything just seemed a little more muddy here. :D

I don't think I'm a Kubrick fan. I didn't much like 2001. I don't really remember Dr. Strangelove though I think I've seen parts if not all of it. Hmm. After reading the reviews of Clockwork I'm pretty sure I still wouldn't like it.

Holy hell Fury I forgot about that movie loved how that redneck rode the bomb down from the plane. As for 2001 that was a weird movie.

Is that the Strangelove flick? I'm lost otherwise.

Yep, 1964, with Peter Sellers and Chill Wills riding the bomb.

My brain fills up with nasty thoughts during the day. If I can't act them out or at least write about them, my head will explode. I'm not trying to shut my brain down, I'm trying to just drain it a little.

I can understand that. What kind of nasty thoughts do you mean? What are you doing during the day that might trigger them? Are they delicious nasty thoughts or just unpleasant nasty thoughts?
