The GOP have declared that Congress Representatives are 'essential workers' for the purposes of getting paid during any government shutdown.

Surely that justifies using the shortest route to make sure that they reach any vote in time.

Outrageous as it may be to many of us, Article 1, Section 6 requires that members of Congress get paid. Apparently that applies even during shutdowns.

Now that the weekend clown show has concluded, we now can grab our popcorn for the next episodes. Will Gaetz succeed in his effort to oust McCarthy next week? How will the Ukraine vs border funding dispute get resolved?

The incident with Jamaal Bowman appears to be one that can be addressed in one or two sentences, as many here already have, until further information presents itself.
BB and his ilk will continually Hisarp on Bowman because it allows them to ignore the real front page headline of the last 24 hours: A do nothing republican majority with a spineless leader again failed to bring his caucus together to (submit a budget, raise debt ceiling, help constituents, fund the government), increasing instability in the markets by having us all go through this again in 44 days.

McCarthy and his issues with the Dumdum caucus is a problem solely of his own making that’s being forced on all of us.
