With some things, yes, that's true. But, there are some things that are best saved for testing on the submissive. The "3 Bears method" is used, in this case. Depending on her reaction...I can tell if I hit her too hard, not hard enough...or just right.

I believe some Doms are not willing to try things themselves seeing it as less "Domly" or some simply can't take what their submissive's can. Just because the like to do these things to another doesn't mean they could endure what they do.

I think if they are very careful, depending on what is done, how much research the Dom has done and experimenting on objects, let's say, that it's not necessary.

My personal preference would be to try it myself first but then I'm not a really Dom.

Last night however, I didn't try being saran wrapped first. I simply did it to him and it was a totally fresh thing for us both.

Various butt plugs

As for butt plugs, my love and I have started using them. We first tried a glass one, very nice and slick. I'd definitely like that one up my ass again. We then tried a harder black, perhaps medium sized one...if anyone's interested, PM me and I'll think about sending you a picture or two of it in action. I really struggled to get it in, er, he struggled to get it in, I laid there on my tummy and tried to relax into it...it took a lot of will power, gentle but unyielding pressure from him, but it finally went in. Only to pop right back out again, putting us both in giggles. Him from actually seeing the little butt bullet shoot out, and me from trying to visualize what my ass just did.
After this, I've scoured the net to find a plug, first of all that's metal as I think it would be beautifully slick, and second one with a very narrow, but safe neck. (I've just self edited/cut out a link to an adult toy site, reading that we shouldn't post things that are for sale...) Anyways, there are ones online if you go searching, that have a metal body and a thin rubber neck...it looks really good.
I'm real curious to know if anyone has tried them? They look like the perfect answer to butt plug ecstacy...I'd love to see if I could put a small one it, at my love's request and wear it to work all night...and could I keep it in?
