I have found over the last year that a bird cage can work as well if you have the money to spend on it. HE has this cage built with steel rods that used to be used for his cockatoo but now is used for me. It is just big enough for me to sit bound with my knees to my chest. And if I start to fall asleep then he will just tug on my leash to wake me up as he passes. He use this to train me from my old masters 'bad habits'. I still quite enjoy it.

You've really touched a nerve in me this time. Caging and imprisonment is a huge turn-on for me. If I ever got into a power exhange arrangement I think this aspect of BDSM would be covered thoroughly in the contract. I would agree to submit to being caged at the complete discretion of my owner. Whenever she wished she could order or force me into the small steel cage down in our basement dungeon. No protests would be heard. No justification would be needed. I could use a safe word only if I was in some immediate physical danger.

She could throw be in the cage so she could lecture me, discipline me, scold me, tease me, humiliate me. Or, she could throw me in just because she could. Maybe she wants some peace and quiet and locks me up just to get me out of the way for a few hours-or longer. Maybe she wants to show me off to her Dom/me friends and let them take turns tormenting me.

In reality I would choose one hour if the cage were not overly cramped for space and 30 minutes if it were... to begin with...reminding him evey 15 minutes how much time had passed...the time drags once the mind is brought back to it.
IF he appeared to not take it seriously I would double the time in a heart beat...

Perhaps a veryyyyyyyyyyy large cage for a double sub look?

To answer the first three question...one of the responsibilities I have is to protect My toys mental health. The cage would not be a consideration. It would almost signal a given to Me that to confine him this way would set him up for claustrophobia or a panic attack. With both of these disorders it is seldom felt only once. I could become directly responsible for worsening his fears if I tried to force him past them. That would be abusive and irresponsible.

If it were as simple as a question of unease...simply of the unknown...I would send them into the cage but not close the door. They would be told that they MUST exit the cage immediately if any feeling of panic or claustrophobia began to occur. That there is no shame in being unable to give Me this pleasure.

It is never safe to assume anything!

As Shadowsdream already has said - it is Our responsibility to see to the safety and health, mental and physical, of the ones that place their complete trust in us. Forcing things past safe and sane limits is definitely not included in this equation.

So before any caging will happen it will be discussed, just as all other things. If the answer is NO! or I feel it should be a NO! then it will not happen.

Thouhg if it is more a light fear or uneasy-thing, usually after I have voiced my wish to pursue this line my subs will from their own accord let me know that they are ready to at least give it a try, to please me - and *smiles* I think because of experience they know I will not force anything on them that in the end they will not like or at least find tolerable, but which will add to My pleasure. And they know that they will as persons profit from the expereince in the long run (they are clever enough to take a chance to explore their fears in what they know to be a safe environment, if they didn't I do not think they ever could agree to a TPE)

So starting with short periods of time, leaving the cage open, making it their DUTY so end the experiemnt / safeword out as soon as anything untowards happens to them mentally or physically etc. is the way to go.

As for bondage in the cage or blindfolds - it will depend. It will definitely not ALWAYS be like that (wouldn't that be boringly predictable?) but I might feel like a deeply reflective period for my sub, so a blindfold may come on. As for additionally tying up ... it will much depend on the size of the cage and mainly what I want to achieve with the caging itself.

I have just realised that it is often when I have had a trying day, or am distracted by something that has happened, that Master stretches the 15 minutes. I am then forced to just wait patiently and quietly ... so naturally I think.

your Master is a vey wise Man..He has devised a way for you to be bound safely within the confines of a family home. I must now suggest to Robuck that He adds a locking from the outside door nob to increase your feelings of caging. My slave put such a devise in place and I have yet to add it to the scenes..hmmmm new idea..thank you willow...
