There are so many wonderful possibilities to add to caging with bondage and blindfolds...ear plugs and gags.

I wonder, does this begin to get into the realm of sensory deprivation? Does any one here like to use sensory deprivation? What do you use it for if you do? Is it another way to help the sub reflect without any outside influences? For what periods of time would this be used? I've heard of studies where sensory deprivation can drive someone mad or insane. Is that just an extreme form of this play or is it a legitimate concern when undertaking any type of this form of play?

Anytime anyone in the BDSM play scene could be driven to madness or insanity We are no longer talking about BDSM but about abuse hidden behind terminology.

And yes it is a form of sensory deprivation any time You remove even one of the senses....which can and usually is an incredible experience for the submissive as it hieghtens the other senses. The length of time will depend upon other aspects of the scene and the personality of the submissive as well as the trust they have in their Dominant.
The deprevation can be used for subs to internalize and reflect or to strengthen the impact of play.

I sometimes bind, blindfold and gag sissy to the bed spreadeagled. I also put earphones on his ears attached to a boombox that plays plays music softly.

I then use a combination of painful and pleasureable sensations. I usually end with anal. It is very effective. Afterwards, sissy always says that it is usually one of the most intense experiences of his life.
