I am hoping it's a good bit of foreshadowing. Wasn't much room for me to include it in my opening chapter; I'm counting on you guys to do it well.

Maybe I should write a sequel: "Lucy at the Helm." She becomes managing editor and chief reviewer for Tentacle and Torture after she returns to England with her scoop on Adamir. She and the rest of the staff test the realism of erotic horror scenes by recreating them.

I just realised what makes the Chain Stories category even weirder: the separate instalments don't link through to each other. With a one-author series, you'll see "previous chapter" and "next chapter" when you come to the end. But with Chain Stories you have to go to the category page and look there.

And because you can't add links in comments. you can't refer readers to the next chapter there either. Ideally, we'd link to the next chapter at the end of our own, but those links aren't available then.

The more I think about it, the less the whole category makes sense.
