Chain Story - Bathtubs and Broomsticks

I found the perfect video on PornHub the other day. It has apparently been there for 10 years, but somehow evaded all my searches for it.

So… how exactly did you find it now? Inquisitive minds and so forth.

And where's the link? Or are you keeping it to yourself as a reward for all your unfruitful searches?

I don't know if it's a new thing, but I noticed there were playlists of similar videos, and that led me to videos I wouldn't usually find.

That would entail finding it again, and what's perfect for me would probably be meh for you. But I'll try...

Thanks. I'm always interested in seeing how the world looks through other eyes. That's probably a big part of why I became an Anthropologist.

It's standard to use an apostrophe when deleting letters for abbreviations. The full spelling is "abated breath," that is, breath being held back.

Perhaps once, a long time ago. Nowadays it's just "bate". If you add an apostrophe, it looks like you're abbreviating "masturbate".

The phrase ‘bated breath’ goes back to Shakespeare, possibly earlier.

I’m just surprised to see the apostrophe. I know there’s a connection between bated and abated, but I’ve never heard anyone say ‘abated breath’, but have seen lots of conversations about ‘bated’ vs ‘baited’ breath.

"Masturbated breath?" An interesting blow job. Contemporary usage may have dropped the apostrophe, though not universally. But the phrase does refer to holding one's breath - abating it. The word "bated" exists only in the context of that phrase. "Baited breath" is a bit absurd, unless your exhaling worms or, perhaps, speaking seductively.

Absurd in meaning, but 'bated' is very rarely used outside of 'bated breath' these days, so it's an understandable error.

Viewer no. 1000 of my chapter also voted. And ruined my perfect 5* score. :(
(I know, an extra vote means more than trying to maintain an untenable score.)

It is nice having a 5-star average for a while.
It is, but when you lose it - whether two hours after the story was published, or a month - it's disappointing. I have a couple of stories that fought their way up from 4.4x to 4.55 over the course of several months, and those give me more satisfaction than a story that starts high and then drops, even if it's still in the 4.7-4.9 range.

Weird how the human mind works.
