Challenge 09.V.1 word is given

yes. An epson this time. The last 2 were HP...and they have been horrible for us.

An update for my OS is due any day so I am waiting to load up the printer/scanner driver.

...checked back in the thread but couldn't find if you mentioned....what kind of scanner did you get?

*sheepishy mumbles under his breath* " HP scanjet G4010...

hmmmm...
have had Epson...the Biggest problem was the ink...VERY expensive and would SAY it was out of ink when there was obviously plenty in the cartridges. Hopefuly they have resolved thta, because there was a law suit against them.

I would rather have had a separate scanner but, interestingly enough, I don't get consulted. Equipment just....appears.

i'll let you know this afternoon! my printer is an Epson, and i am out of ink! grrrrrrr. that shit is expensive.

morning to all! time for coffee. :rose:

I HOPE/plan to post the entries and pol tomorrow afternoonish.
I have a pile of work and the bothersome kidney stone issue......
Gathering all my stuff this morning (several trips to the car) I inadvertantly forgot my handy dandy pee filter/funnel....grrrr...

having to go.... I improvised (I sure want to catch this thing and have them analyze the sucker...as there are supposedly 4 types of stones...heh heh...like band members...heh heh from MY member...anyway!)
Grabbed a coffee filter and a couple paper cups.... cut out the bottom of one cup and put the filter in. The 2nd cup I put a folded paper towel so that after running water through the filter (aprés pee) I could set the whole gizmo IN something and not dribble around the office. wanted to reuse it rather than rebuild each time.

sheeesh!

WARNING!:

likely to bogue some people out!:D

Ok..gotta pee AGAIN!!!

Here's a random question, do you all have a favorite place (other than here) to ask for criticism and suggestions on particular pieces of artwork?

If we're taking a poll ;) my printer is an HP (because it was the only one we could find that was compatible with a wired network, but I'm happy with it) and my scanner is an Epson (I'm not sure whether the scan quality is low or I just haven't figured out how to set the scanning options properly. The issue is that my drawings scan with a lot of smudgy crap around them and when I filter out the smudgy crap, the interior details of the drawing tend to get lost.) I liked my previous scanner, a Plustek, a lot better, but it only worked well after I had manually tweaked the scan settings. It had other problems - Plustek is total crap at customer support, they just opted not to write a vista driver for the scanner model I had. And it took a lot longer to warm up then the new one.

Hahahah, Wow! not what I was expecting either, but I remember the filter and cup system all too well, when that stone passed I threw that fucking cup and filter, both hands clutching that porcelain urinal, and let out a scream that scared the guys in the stall next to me!

I'm in. :D

Sent the thread master two ideas in sepia and color. I'll let him chose one or two.

Cool improv filter Throbbs. Best of luck catching that pesky stone.:rose:

To answer your question simply SnS, yes I do.. but it's a person.

there are a lot of groups of artists that meet up over coffee and such to discuss what's going on and the work they are doing. i have no clue as to online, but your local chamber of commerce might have information on groups around you. you may also try contacting art departments at local colleges. sometimes they know more of the up and goings in areas! good luck on finding a group to share with!

Afternoon T, hope not to much discomfort, I stopped on my way home and picked up my ticket to a lecture at the University by R. Crumb and Art Spiegelman. Conversation hosted by Francoise Mouly. 3 of my fav. illustrators!!
