Challenge: Grab a Partner

I'll take the odds; come go evens with me
pull me out of me and I'll set you free
reach out your hand and I'll open my soul
I'm not a fan of the loftier goal.

Not asking much-its just a one nighter
We'll dance in the dark and act like we're writers
Its just 16 lines, not much of a task
I'm easy, you know- you need only ask!

Anyone wanna dance?

Because someone demanded it, I retract my statement. I'm in. If anyone thinks that I could not work with them, let's do da dayum thang.

Gina? Erase the 'not' in your sentence and
quit bein so down on yourself!!!

You can do this- if no one asks you, ask someone!

Another entry into the fray

LilDarlin and I have decided to start at opposite ends and try and merge our styles somewhere on the midway....

tryin to find that perfect ride...

In the light of the moon, ‘neath the dark of the trees,
To the music of willows and the wind’s gentle tease,
I'll hold you so gently, entranced by the spell
Of the sweet shadowed promises your body will tell.

And we’ll dance there to music no others can hear,
A music we make when our bodies are near.
The sensual friction of skin against skin
A Dance before the real dance begins.

It must Rhyme!

I would be happy to get into this deal. I'll play w/ anyone,
there is just one thing. Our work must ryhme and have rhythm.
If someone wants to do the 1st line I will provide the second and so on. If I start we will be headed down a beach trip with
longnecks. Who wants wants to rhyme, come on I know you all
do at home alone. sandspike

In a tizzy I hold out my hand to this gent
and curtsy (and wobble) and rise up in haste

and just ran out of words...
(trying to teach some young boys how to play Quidditch! lol)

I'll send my email, dr- lets dance!

Sandspike,

I love to rhyme but I'd like to write it with the perfect syllable count throughout. And, of course, it has to have that incredible flow ;)
Let me know!

Such as
10, 8, 10, 8

or 8, 6, 8, 6

doesn't matter, just as long as we keep the stanzas the same.

Ms Leigh

I think we could work together. Hopefully I just PM'd you.
People keep walking in this office like a dam parade, but
I think pushed the right button. sandspike

Okay, okay... I'm okay. Boo forced me to know that if I can write with someone as fantastic and as poetically well versed as she, that I could do it just with about anyone.

Besides, I don't step on toes when I dance. I happen to be a purdy good dancer.

Yup. I meant 'purdy'.

Yes, ma'yam. ;)

Okay, sandspike. Got all your pm's. Going out for a while with the kids. We'll figure out something. This outta be good ;)

This IS gonna be fun! Hell- I'm already dancing and excited about both my partners!

Here's what I see we have so far...

Cordelia & The Fool
Belegon
Liar & Anna ?
Christina & Remec
Cerriwiden & Tathagata
Boo and Reltne
Boo & dr_mabeuse
tungtied & Lil Darlin
Sandspike & Christina

Lets keep this an ongoing thing- I like this idea. We could even make it a real dance later, but instead of calling a waltz, we can call a sonnet, or instead of the Bunny Hop it can be a limerick! lol

Come on Everyone! Grab a partner!

Okay, okay....what shall we do, Remec? ;)

Ladies choice...<smile>

Begin something and let's see what comes of it...do you want to attempt any specific style?

Pretty sure Flyguy69 and I are tango-ing, so you can add us to the list!

I guess no one will be surprised that The Mutt and I are collaborating.

And we promise to follow the rules. No pillow talk.

Glad to see this has taken off...

I'd like to try it again with a different partner...not that it wasn't great with lostandfounder...i just want to see how it is with a different partner (sly smile)....kinda expand my horizions and hopefully learn a thing or two and have some fun at the same time.

So, if anyone wants to give it a whirl...i've got my dancin' shoes on...

Mutt and Oat

Pillow talk my ass! You guys need to post your poem tomorrow.
It's not fair that you get to work face to face and get some on
the side as well.

Ah, but we are not working face to face. We don't live together and don't get to see each other nearly as often as we would like. Do you think we waste time writing poetry when we are together?
No, we are emailing each other, line by line, and have not discussed the poem in the slightest. Promise.

This poem was written by Lostandfounder and irishcatsmeow; each writing a line a day and passing the work in progress back and forth through email. L&F wrote the odd numbered lines and irish the even; neither knowing where the poem would go or when it would end. This is an interesting writing experience ...so grab another poet and write a poem.

Rules: Poem should be 16 lines, no discussing poem on phone or through Instant Messaging....just pass it back and forth through email. Include an introduction to the poem, mentioning who your poem partner is.

Submit your joint poems to Literotica on Thursday, December 9th, for posting on December 10th. Have fun!

I'm curious. Is 16 lines a set rule? No more? No less? This challenge seems suited for sonnets.

Remec, you slow poke ;)

I got myself a buddy but I think it's going to go quick. I would LOVE to do both.

Ladies choice? Here we go:

Details very important but not too lengthy- rhyme or no? Doesn't matter.

1. You are my man.
2. I'm watching you make love to another woman.
3. I'm not supposed to join. Only there to watch you get satisfied. It was my idea since I want my man pleased in every way.
4. It turns me on.
5. I couldn't help but join. You both looked so hot and accepted me in. We all satisfied each other.

Smell
Taste
Vision
Feel

I'll be off and on tonight. Not feeling well. But let me know or give some ideas yourself. Talk to me, babe! It doesn't have to be all my idea. I'm kind of a kinky chic so nothing will surprise me.

Hey now, I thought this was supposed to be done without any discussion before hand! Or can we do that? I'm confused.

Oh damn, I forgot. I just read the beginning of the thread. I just did a lot of work. I guess you could say I'M FUCKED! I really don't know how to manage a poem without discussing things over with the other person I'm writing it with. So, I'm gonna have to say, I'm out :(

::sniffles:::
