Come and play with me

Your 'playhouse' shouldn't be on the poetry board at all, so really you have no right to complain about anyone being on 'your' thread.

Play threads belong in the PLAYground and the moderators have every right to move your thread there, if they so wish. I am glad you have fun in your thread and you seem like very nice people, but the poetry board shouldn't have entire threads on topics unrelated to poetry.

The odd personal comment or even a page here and there is one thing, but a whole thread for play on the poetry board makes absolutely no sense to me at all when Literotica has a place where such threads are welcomed.

I just want to point out that poetry has been and can be posted on here :)

That's uncanny. You just described my children perfectly.

;)

I never have a problem with content of specific threads in general. If I'm not involved in it or interested, I move on to another one.

First and foremost, I feel the guidelines set by the owners anywhere take precedent. I have a lot of respect for this site's owners in particular.

I've always been curious as to how a forum dedicated to authors, readers, erotica and exchange of information would be bothered by threads of improvisational interaction.

......for that matter, why the rebukes I get for any consideration of a conspiracy theory.... :D

Just as a general note, we are all human here. The need to play is as vital as the need to write. Most of my own insights come from some sort of play. Just cause this forum says Poetry Feedback and Discussion does not mean that every sigle thread has to be that topic 100 percent. Seems like play and flirting go along with poems...

gets off her soap box, hides in her corner again...

That's true, and that's why these threads have always been tolerated as far as they don't become so prevalent as to make the real Feedback and Discussion threads hard to find. That happens from time to time.

On the other hand, that is why there's a forum right next door called Author's Hangout - yes, author refers to poets as well - and a Playground forum a bit further down the street. You'll notice that you don't find any flirt threads on Poetry Feedback & Discussion's sister forums, Story Feedback and Story Discussion Circle. You'll mostly just see Feedback and Discussion on those. ;)

Is that the great nose-too-far-in-the-air gay poetry conspiracy again? :catroar:

Flirting?

It seems like flirting is prevalent on EVERY thread on Literotica. It starts with the avatars, that are certainly flirtatious, and continues through the threads. Poetry lends itself very nicely to flirting, thank you, where a short story or essay requires too much thinking to do on the fly. All most of the flirters are doing is practicing for that top 10 poem. This is a lot like the exhibitions master chess players do where they are playing 25 games at a time. Can one really create a masterwork in 5 minutes? I doubt it, but it certainly is possible.

Absolutely not. I don't have any knowledge or really much interest in that. I've seen it mentioned but never took time to read into it much.

I'm talking about general political situations and circumstances and the entire Lit forum overall. Many logical explanations are provided for otherwise unintelligible explanations to events, such as the London attack, 9/11 and various other complicated situations.

Any time I bring alternative theories into discussion (not so much this particular forum here) they seem to be met with minds atypical of writers and readers of fiction.

That's a shame. I happen to love conspiracy theories. Very entertaining. :D

Let's make sure we're on the same page.

Is there a conspiracy bound in the gay poetry when the nose is too far in the air?

Did the insider trading, of record amounts, prior to the event of 9/11 exhibit a sign that the PROMIS software was used by unauthorized entities with prior knowledge of the attack?

Did the exercise in London that ran concurrently with the recent attacks actually act as a cover for the real attacks?

.....heh,......about that e-voting and central tabulator in Ohio in the 2004 election....

:D

hog wash and cock n bull
this threads for fun too
I feel like a poem I am I am
dances to the slinging mud
giving JC and RF a hug

I'm gonna go on record here to say...

All signs point to yes;

Very likely; and

Outlook is not so good

That sums it all up quite nicely. We should solve the Suncruz fiasco later on.

Nobody said you shouldn't play. Why not play in the forum that actually has 'play' in its title, not in a place that has the word ‘poetry’ in its title? Doesn't seem like rocket science to me. It does seem selfish to decide you can play wherever you want and ignore clearly started rules. Threads like this damage the credibility and atmosphere of the entire forum.

From the top of the Poetry Page:

"Forum Guidelines

10. Please post content in the appropriate forum. We do not believe in censorship, but your posts will be moved or removed if you do not read the forum title before hitting "SUBMIT". Personal ads should be posted in the "Personals" forum, story ideas in the "Story Ideas" forum, BDSM issues in the BDSM forum, random nonsense on the General Board, and so on."

By the way, I skimmed the thread Jennifer, to see how much poetry was here. Your definition of poetry and mine must differ greatly.

can we climb a tree?

You have stated your case and conviced me. You're extremely persuasive for a 2 post newbie.

:D

I'll keep my random nonsense on the GB where it belongs from now on. That rule does explain a lot of what's over there right now, though.

...sorry if I offended anyone.
