Crafty Litsters show your work!

That's lovely!

Beautiful, wenchie! Go for it!
Your designs always inspire me! :)

Thanks. :)

You can't really see the plaid well in that picture, but you get the general idea.

I just love the simple elegance of it. Really, it's glam with out the in your face sparkle.

I have some Scottish National that I'm thinking of doing this with, but I might use a different button.

At any rate, it was quick and uses mostly scraps, so I think it deffo has potential. Especially since it wouldn't have to be done with plaid.

So excited. I've finished with the wedding party and I can do some fun stuff.

This was done with a remnant and one of those home decor fabric swatches.

Got to play with my new machine a bit and came up with this

Since the black watch is going to a bride, I'm going to do at least one more of those, and I still have a Scottish National I can do one with.

The bustle has some kinks to work out, but over all I'm happy with it.

Since my daughter is now living up north where it's cold, I'm having fun with my stash of handspun wool yarns. I made this cap for her this week out of some variegated indigo-dyed yarn I made a few years ago. It was a fun pattern, once I got the rhythm of the mini cables.

So etsy is now letting in manufactured goods and calling it a form of handmade creations.

I haven't gotten the slightest nibble from storenvy.

Anyone got some tips or ideas for me?

That's disappointing to hear. :( I was thinking of working on an Etsy shop, but that gives me pause...

They just announced it recently. Shop keepers can now have an outside manufacturer create their items and then sell them. They have to stipulate that it's been made by a manufacturer, but still.

I learned to make chain mail (as in armor) several years ago. Master and I discovered mail(le) as jewelry 6 or 7 years ago at a RenFaire. Initially he wanted to do it so I interpreted some directions to help get him going. He backed off from it when his eyesight become a problem but encouraged me to keep going (he's nifty like that). I did wander away from it for a while, but recently I got back into it again. Now that I'm confident about a few weaves, I'm going to explore ways to incorporate my handmade glass beads with my handmade metal chains. :)

Very nice mail!

What are the colorful ones? Anodized aluminium?

I guess that the the bracelet is sterling and copper?

A really good guess on the AA as the colored aluminum is called by the ringmakers here. For the bracelet the silver rings are Bright Aluminum or BA.

Just curious, do you weave chain mail or perhaps chain maille if you choose? If you do you should post in the craft thread. Alway like seeing others work and skills.

OMG !

that middle one-- so elegant and subtle :rose:

Thank you (and CnC) so much! I think of that center one was my "watercolors in the rain" bead. The bead on the right is my "Sedona" bead because it reminds me of the beautiful red rocks up there.

I don't do very much maille. My fingers are too big, and my patience is too small.
Have made a couple of pendants and bracelets, but nothing spectacular.

On the crafty side I cast metal, do a bit of blacksmithing and the occasional woodwork when needed.

Regarding jewellery, I'll have to be careful not to post something I've made for others. I'm quite sure that neither they (nor Lady C) would consider it fun to be "outet".
I'll look through the files for something worth showing.
:D

I think it is 15 years ago I made that one!
