Ok, I might have stretched the truth a bit there.

I have rope burn from hooking.
Beautiful yarn, btw. That's a unique set of colors. I don't think I've come across anything like it, which is kind of amazing. On FB, I got to see a little drama between people that were accusing each other of stealing their dye patterns and colors.
The things I would love to show you as a glass worker, that ip have seen in Venice, well, Burano, but because of fear of copying......no photos allowed. Its such a shame. For those of us who love art and would love to promote and praise the work of good houses.....its really poor way to protect intellectual property too, because it still gets copied but people who might be your middle / lower revenue market ( thinking of Venician glasses, vases, and yes beads, rather than chandeliers on grand scale) market don't know about unique house products only the pastiche.
It looks great on you.
Oooh Meeks, it's wonderful! Well done!!!!
Thanks to desertslave for helping me work this out!
This is just the test run of the pattern. I used what I had on hand so the color doesn't look very good with the dress. In going to purchase the yarn and ribbon to go with the dress. Also, I'll maybe make some changes like making it wider and such.
That's awesome, Meeks! I really should learn how to crochet something other than potholders that aren't even square.
I love it!
Thanks. (*^_^*) I've been practicing a lot. If you have basics down, I would suggest finding a simple pattern that you really like and going from there. I started because I really wanted to be able to make pretty things for myself. Being able to make gifts was just a byproduct of my selfish desire.
I've tried, but I can't follow the patterns. I almost managed to crochet a flower once, but I screwed it up in the end. It turned out ok-ish, but not like the picture showed. A lot of the terminology just confuses me.
When we have that northern lights watching, cooking and seeing Meeks freeze get-together in the middle of nowhere, you'll have to teach me.
Please tell me you spinners and crocheters are over on Ravelry! Please?!

Looks beautiful, Meeks!
What colour(s) are you thinking about for the real deal?
Thank you. The real deal may be black or I was thinking navy blue. The dress is silver/black and its a dark sort of silver. I have these pretty navy blue heels I thought look nice with the dress so I'm debating. I suppose I could just make one of any color I like. Like a pretty fluffy white one with pompoms on the ribbon ends. @_@
I'm open to suggestions. I tend to play it safe with my fashion choices so neutral colors are my first choice.
