I’m sure she will take all of the hugz and love that you want to send her way....she’s finally able to eat for the first time since last night....and if the medication doesn’t knock her out I’m sure it would take some restraint to keep her off of here to thank everyone herself a Little later.

Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts and prayers, and for worrying about me! :heart:

I had a very competent doctor, which gives me peace ...and the nursing staff was great!

It started with the guy bringing me back, asking if I'd already done my xrays and blood work. I got a "good girl". Off to a great start!!!

A former Navy Corpsman/Chief with 27 years experience - I could relax there because it felt like "home" (Marine brat). And he laughed when I told him I was a princess and "allowed to be picky" about my IV...before he fluttered back to the nurses station.

A sweet recovery nurse that was just as disappointed that the "boot" didn't come in a choice of "pink with unicorns".

But, best of all, the nurse who wheeled me down to OR and hooked me up to the monitors. I started to become afraid, and grabbed his pinky to hold at one point. I asked him not to leave me, he said he wouldn't. When he was done, he reached back to hold my hand and told me I'd sleep soon and I told him I needed a bedtime story as the anesthesiologist put the mask on me...and I heard him

"Once upon a time there were three bears"

I woke from twilight before doc was finished, but it was just like waking from sleep...so much better than general. It was a pretty great experience! Keep the pain meds coming along with ice the next few days.

And, Fugu...I wouldn't steal your coffee! I poured it out... uh oh, now I can't even run away! :eek:
 
I have the biggest smile on my face right now!

Daddy sent me the biggest, most beautiful flower arrangement and a new stuffie!
 
Glad to see you up, and around (sort of) BFG. Just remember to follow Drs. orders, and take care of yourself first. :rose:

I want to hang out, too, but I won't be much fun. Maybe coloring later will be manageable, but right now I just want to look out my window. Not like I can see too much of anything without my glasses on, anyway. :rolleyes::D
 
Ohhhh coloring and hair!! I so need a hair appointment. My color is so ugly. Dishwater brown with gray. Yuck.

Yes all personal returns done. Now clean up and wait until December until we start getting ready again. Ugh.
