Is someone still serving drinks??

I swear I’ve gone to look at more than a dozen homes in the last few weeks and the one thing I’ve learned about real estate is that the photos are always deceiving!!
😠

This last house had a torn up front yard and the back yard is at such a steep grade - towards the house - that one good rain and you’d have a pond

Grrrr

Took us two years of looking. Hang in there

Thank you cas, for helping us take care of ourselves. 💗

A couple of weeks ago there were a few posts about lap sitting, and I mentioned using a rocking chair. I was a bit vague and inarticulate then. I have been thinking about it since, and want to share those thoughts.

When I was actually referred to as BooBoo by my family I was a lap sitter with my father. Specifically on his lap on the rocking chair in front of the fireplace (active fireplaces were pretty uncommon in that time). It was safe warm and comfortable, and there was a great deal of affection (perhaps not what you would expect from WWII Marine).

What I find interesting is how this translated as an adult. Like most healthy males I was interested in a female in my lap. Now as I have discovered my dominant streak, which is heavily influenced by a strong desire to mentor and care, I want to provide that safe warm space. There is something special about rocking someone. It's a very therapeutic kind of care.

Have any DDs or littles experienced this? Thoughts?

I always have loved a rocking chair, it's soothing.. like rocking a baby to sleep. There's a lot of therapy being done today with rocking chairs...for anxiety and for patients with dementia.

As a little, it's my safe spot with my someone special.

My cousin (who's a psychologist) once asked me if I heard voices. I told her I did, but they sounded like the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, so it wasn't that bad....

"Make it so!"

You know what?

Mine sound like the muppets...especially those two up in the balcony laughing at people. 😉

Oh, I know exactly what I'm gonna send you....:D

And an extra sippy cup :)

For all the margaritas I bought the other night?
I THOUGHT they were regular 6 oz drinks, so I got three.
I became the proud owner of 96 oz of the nectar.
I'm really happy with the watermelon one.

Oh, well, a little each night will get me through today.

Hey, everyone...Remember, tell your loved ones that you love them, you never know how things will go.

It's afternoon and I'm going to have a drink and think about my awesome childhood running around barefoot with my brother. Everyone thought we were twins even though he's a foot taller - or was.

Once again, a PSA, don't put off calling loved ones because you're tired/busy...just do it.
