Perhaps, it's just that I've never heard of this categorization before ... but I'm completely lost. Is there a link that will explain how they reason out these evaluations better? And what is their pertence?

I got that I'm an INTP ... and afte reading Pink Orchid said about that type, I have to agree that I have many of those traits. And similarily to FungiUG comment regarding the use of the word "architect" in the evaluation ... I'm studying to be an Architect (currently in my fourth year)... Ironic?

It's easy, the test identifies certain major aspects about you and extrapolates how those aspects would work together. The majority of your answers indicated that you’re more interested in the interior world than the exterior, the abstract and general than the real, the logic of a situation than the sentiment, and you’re more inclined to ‘open’ behavior than structured and pre-planned ones.

Forgive my diction!! Let me correct myself, "I'm studying to be an Architect... isn't that a strange coincidence?"

Oh and by the way, I don't have balls. I have other sorts of equipment. Though I do imagine that would hurt. I didn't realize the analysis also said that INTP's were such vindictive bastards that they commonly practice CBT in retribution to poor diction. I'm not sure I want to belong to such a group of people.

the only thing I can conclude is that I know "me" now whereas then, I was an entirely different 'lost' person

I came across this thread and it caught my eye with the "ISTJ" in the subject line...

I am an adviser/career counselor who has used the Myers-Briggs dozens of times with students/clients. While it can be helpful for people to complete this assessment to find out more about themselves, it can be helpful to have it interpreted by someone who is trained in giving or interpreting the results.

I have also heard of people who have taken the test many times, which I think is a smart thing to do if you want an accurate result. I took me 4-5 times, and a lot of honesty, for me to come to my true result: INFJ (I went back and forth between P and J - I wanted to BE more like a P, when I was in reality a J).

If you read the literature Carl Jung (whose work this assessment is based on) says we are born with our personality and do not constantly "flip flop" our preferences. I heard people mention that they "go back and forth" between two letters. It just takes time, honesty and perserverance to get to the true letter(s) for you.

And, keep in mind we ALL use both sides of our personality (extrovert AND introvert, for example), and our score just tells us our PREFERENCE for using that side of our personality.

Thanks for doing that, Mr. Blonde. So no ESTJ's, no ESTP's, no ESFP's, no ISFP's, no ENFJ's........I find that very interesting. And, yes, as someone suggested it would be fascinating to see if and how the Dom\mes and subs differ.

We're mostly the NF types, followed closely by the NT's.
