The only offers I get in email come with 900 numbers, copies of the Klez virus, or both. 
I've always kept my profile vague on gender and tastes.
Online is just not where I look for such things, if I'm looking; which I'm not.
Do I get more email?
Certainly I get a lot of feedback whenever I post something. Of course I've only been at this writing thing for a little while, so I can't say how that will turn out in the long run.
Under my other name I maintain a few art galleries and they've never generated much feedback, even when the hit count was high.
So artists at least don't get much email.
By contrast I do Flash web design as a hobby, and I get lots of feedback from people who are morally outraged that I'm not still living in 1994 like they are.
