Embarras de Richesse

Lucy1970Harker has a new story "Truth or Dare" that takes a hackneyed theme and turns it into something worth reading, as usual with this talented writer. I can't say better than my public comment: "As always, Juicy Lucy1970Harker delivers the goods. Erotica with style, hot, sweet, and leaves the push-and-poke to the reader's imagination. 'Show, don't tell', is alive and well with Lucy. Good story, impeccable mechanicals."

SilkStockingsLover has a new submission (pun intended) in the works. Curiosity may have killed the cat, as the old saying goes, but when SSL starts writing about it, who knows what it may do.

Ilmonamour tells me she has a new story in the works, reprising some characters from her fabulous “Reading the Defense” series. Looking forward; Il is a talented writer.

And calibeachgirl is finishing up her murder mystery series "Semper Fi", about those who take revenge on people who aren't. Hot as always.

And we’re in the stretch at the Valentine’s Day contest, looking at a close finish, as a major Hoover seems to have gone through.

As I said elsewhere, hail to the victors of the V-Day contest. There were some very strong stories entered. And for those who didn't place, keep writing!

RedHairedandFriendly’s narrator dropped the lube, and picked up--well, read the story and find out. Good stroker material. But Red claims she has no personal knowledge of those events in her essay “What Does Descriptive Writing Mean?” The essay needs a small copy edit, but it’s interesting.

Dinkleberry’s “I Hurt Myself Today” will either turn you off entirely, or else move you to pity. Her protagonist is a sorrowful character, but the pain is real, and the story well-written. This writer's scores don't reflect her ability.

Tara_Neale wrote the first piece on the death of Whitney Houston I've read that actually said something meaningful. Good writing, Tara!

Ilmonamour has posted Ch 1 of "Running Into Coverage", her next football series. The fans are already enjoying it. A feisty heroine and a good-guy athlete make for good reading.

RedHairedandFriendly is polishing her Earth Day entry, and it looks good. Now I understand it's with her beta-readers and technical advisers.

Just finished copy-editing Grandmistress Lisa Jones' latest. The Grandmistress hasn't lost the winning touch. You don't need endless kinesiology to make a sexy story, and GMLJ knows how to do it. Look for it when it posts; GMLJ doesn't disappoint.

And now for an update of my personal wishlist: Another hot medical romance from Serenissima Sydney Blake; another Valerie story from Grandmaster dweaver999 (I know covetousness is a sin, but I envy his talent so much); and LunaEroticaMystica bringing Logan and Raina together again.

DG Hear, MFG, has a new series ready, and his fans will love this one. It's all about sex, lies and romance.

Thanks Estragon! I have three of six chapters submitted. Hopefully it might start posting tomorrow. Story is finished. Thanks again for the push and of course the editing.

DG Hear, MFG, you hardly need any boosting from me. Your work speaks for itself.

And Grandmistress Lisa Jones has a triumphant return with "Eternity Ring". It was a thrill to work on the text of a great story (all the writers I work for write great stories, of course). This one is super: it's GMLJ meets JRR Tolkien meets Indiana Jones, with a visit to one of my favorite places in the world, the Scottish Highlands, thrown in. Savor the story with a wee dram of 15-yr old Glenfiddich (or your own favourite).

Not to be left out, SilkStockingsLover is churning 'em out. I just finished work on a later-to-be-released "mother and child reunion" (not of the kind Paul Simon was writing about). What her fans will love.

MarciaRH's "Snow Angels" gives forced bussing a new meaning, and really warms up a freezing Minnesota night. So hot I didn't even stop to quibble.

Although he hardly needs my praise (or anyone else's), dr mabeuse's "Good Girl" is a fine example of economy and skill. What could have been a cliché becomes a good story. dr m's reputation is secure with this one.

A Retraction

I posted the following to my "Disappointments" thread on this BB today:

MarciaRH has responded to my PM by e-mail. The author states that the story "Snow Angels" is indeed her work, and was previously posted to asstr and to SOL. That is sufficient for me.

Unless doing so would compromise an author's privacy or disclose an alt the author wishes to keep under wraps, I might suggest that authors who post to several sites might wish to state that fact when posting, to prevent similar incorrect charges of plagiarism.

And clutter up their stories? I have it posted on my profile. I think that's sufficient. (You did check her profile, didn't you, to see if she explained it there?)

A bunch of notes on a story just bogs it down, registers defensiveness, and makes it look amateurish.

RedHairedandFriendly is back with "Unlimited Passion", and it certainly is. Hot and worth quibbling. Good story from an accomplished writer.

Ch 5 of DG Hear's, MFG, latest has posted, and the fans are loving it.

SilkStockingsLover has posted Ch 1 of her "Curiosity" series; the narrator has a lot to keep him busy.

The Needler proves you can go home again (pace Tom Wolfe) in "For Old Times' Sake".

There's a lot going on. SilkStockingsLover has another story in the works, and CaliBeachGirl is working on a story from the past.

Posting today is soflabbwlvr's "The Baller: Desperate Measures", for which I provided some technical advice.

DG Hear, MFG, is continuing to collect kudos for his series "Sex, Cheating and Romance".

Storm62, the UK's answer to DG Hear, MFG, is back with a real feel-good romance, "A Long Time Waiting." Cute and hot.

Tony_Ford, who has written some interesting stories, has an interesting film noir story called "Two Wrongs". Some heat in the middle, and a really hot ending.

CalBeachGirl has a new NH, "Vamp Ch 1". Although NH is not my kind of genre, I did copy edit this story. NH fans, let me know what you think.

I get confused easily.

Calibeachgirl's latest, Vamp Ch 2, is running strongly. It's a tough genre for me to work with, but Cali really keeps a copy editor on his toes. A pleasure, after all.

Two stories that need a copy edit, but are otherwise good strokers, just posted. laylonnie is back after a nine year absence with "Body Paint"; sex and chocolate, what could be bad? And Seat542 has an airborne fetish in "AA Flight 2057": frequent fucker miles, anyone?

And Calibeachgirl just posted "Vamp Ch 3". Should please her fans.
