Embarras de Richesse

DG Hear, MFG, is back in the red with Ch 4 of "Reflections". What a good storyteller he is! Praying his health issues are quickly and favorably resolved.

Ilmonamour is back with Ch 3 of "Running Into Coverage." Il is to football what SA Penn Lady is to hockey. Her fans will like this one.

Waiting for SA Penn Lady's next chapter to post. Delay of the game, Lit proprietors?

Finally, RedHairedandFriendly has a new story in the works, and it's a promise keeper.

As the Dos Equis man says, "Stay writing, my friends."

DG Hear, MFG, has posted Ch 5 of "Reflections", and undergoes surgery today (May 17). Your thoughts and prayers are requested.

SilkStockingsLover is at it again with "Mommy: Becoming My Daughter's Slut". The title says it all. But as Paul Simon's words ran through my head when I copy edited this story: "The mother and child reunion/is only a motion away", I'm doubtful Paul was thinking what Silk was thinking.

SA Penn Lady has posted Ch 9 of "Rhythm and the Blue Line." As good as ever, from one of Lit's all-stars.

And DG Hear, MFG has posted Ch 6 of "Reflections"; great ending! He is truly the Master of Feel Good.

Thanks Estragon.

DG Hear, MFG, has posted the first of a six-chapter series, "Reflections".

DaYeKen is back with "Recycling Day", a bittersweet tale more bitter than sweet. Not for everyone, but I liked it.

Many thanks for the kind words Estragon. Been away for a while moving house and writing stuff that wasn't up to the mark and so didn't get published.

Some people, like yourself, liked Recycling Day others loathed it and some either didn't understand it or didn't actually read it.

I hope the next one doesn't take so long.

DaYeKen, your stories are anything but formula strokers, so you'll get a lot of mixed reviews. But keep writing, and keep your own voice.

Speaking of keeping writing, DG Hear, MFG, has a new series in the works, a real change-of-pace from his recently posted "Reflections". He seems to have resolved his health issues satisfactorily, and is back at work.

I'd love to hear the same about LunaEroticaMystica, NT, and LettersfromTatyana, two very fine writers missing from Lit for far too long.

RedHairedandFriendly has posted a Mature, "Keeping Promises", and she does.

SilkStockingsLover has Ch 3 of a series about a certain nasty sister, sure to please not only the character's brother and friends, but Silk's fans as well.

deepnight512 has a promising debut in “Glittering Gold, Glowing Green”, despite clichés and mechanical flaws. With proper all-round editing (especially plot and some characterization, neither of which I do), it would be a really fine story. There's talent here, but it needs direction. That's much better than direction that needs talent.

What good news, a new Serenissima Syd story and more R&B from SA Penn Lady are promised. Looking forward.

Nigel Debonnaire has a series going, set in St Louis in 1894. Not for everyone, and the dialogue is anachronistic, but the plot keeps you reading. Keep going, Nigel.

RodenAddison is pitching a double header, Anita in the opener and Janice in the nightcap. Plenty of action, even though I'm in the third base coach's box on only one of the games.

And Nigel Debonnaire is still meeting them in St Louis, Louis...to mixed reviews. A bit of a smorgasbord, but, as I've said before, it keeps you reading.

BTTap beat me to the punch on 1thinkingman's new LW entitled "Rant". See my post to his/her thread.

Ilmonamour has posted Ch 5 of "Running Into Coverage", and what more can I say. The lady has talent, and it's great to copy edit for her.

Goey has a "How To" about face time. Needs copy editing, and technical criticisms from those with specialized knowledge.

NigelDebonnaire has finished "A Summer in Olympia". Too bad; it was a good story. Nice going!

DG Hear, MFG, has another of his trademarked series in the works, although it's much darker than his last "Reflections".

Shuttlepilot has a Reluc/NonCon working. Not my favorite genre, but he puts in the effort to tell the story.

And Strapper 66's "Aftermath" is a funny, well-told tale, with a light and deft touch and impeccable mechanicals. This writer, like many others, is much better than his scores would indicate, but he writes in the LW genre, and that's like awarding the trolls a free kick.

ETA, looks like calibeachgirl has another historical story on the way.

Carlus, Yes, you're right, penalty kick it is. It's a shame, but "nor all thy piety or wit"...you know the rest.

Now for some good news. We have a breath of Irish Spring from Casey_t, who makes a funny debut with "The Viagra Regulations". I must quote a really funny line or two. A new drug law had just gone into effect to keep virile men from obtaining Viagra. "It had been sponsored by Cardinal Murphy and supported by the Irish Country Women's Federation—a conservative group comprised of Catholic mothers and grey haired politicians. They had won their victory despite protests from men's rights groups and sheep farmers." Really good, Casey- keep writing!

Further to my post on BTTap's "TxRad" thread today, DG Hear, MFG, has a new series ready, and the revenge is served hot, not cold, and is still a good dish. Look out for it.

And Nude Day is around the corner. I expect I'll see some authors cantering down to the starting gate. Hoping for good stories.

Lucy1970 Harker’s story is called “Writer’s Block”, but she sure doesn’t have that problem. Too hot to quibble was my comment to the story, and that says it all.

RedHairedandFriendly has a colorful story for the Nude Day contest. Reading with my copy editor’s hat on, I really liked it.

SilkStockingsLover has posted a 22-page novela, controversial, pushing the envelope in many directions. Comments should be interesting.

And DG Hear, MFG, tells me he has submitted his new series, "Need for Revenge". Awaiting the posting, although things may be slowing down in anticipation of the Nude Day contest.

Finally, I have a story getting near to posting, a satire on E. M. Forster's 1924 "A Passage to India." I blame LaRacasse for suggesting the venue, and blame myself for writing about it.

Thanks for the push on my story Estragon. Always appreciated. I've submited the first two chapters. Two to go. Starting on a Nude day story. I'm going to try something a bit different for the contest. Not my usual categores. Going with a Voyeur category.:)

DG Hear, MFG, always glad to hear you have a new story in the works. You make the Energizer Bunny look like Mr Lethargic; do you ever sleep? Or are you writing 24/7?

Note to authors for whom I copy edit: if you're going for opening day of the Nude Day, please take pity and give me a little slack. I know stories don't just drop from Heaven, and they arrive whenever, and you all have lives, and day jobs.

But I hear several of you will be going down to the starting gate; please don't all of you arrive at the saddling box at once.

A Warning

I've just sent in a parody for posting. It's a mockery of E. M. Forster's novel "A Passage to India". Well, I thought it was funny.

Jemma_Jane just posted her latest, "The Buddy System", hot, funny, and as always, good stuff.
