Embarras de Richesse

There has been a wide-ranging sweep, yes. Most probably associated with the end of the summer-theme writing contest.

I had thought so. I much preferred to believe that I garnered a lot of 5s to offset the 2s or lower.

On A Happier Note

Serenissima Sydney Blake has published the magnificent Ch 12 of "How to Save a Life". Syd has out-Syd'ed herself with this one. The sex is as hot as ever, but the plot twists, shucks, jives, moves and grooves all over the place. It's a complete down-scroller (the on-line equivalent of a page-turner). I understand why her DH is yelling for Ch 13. So am I. And I'm sure her many fans will be too, as soon as they read Ch 12.

The return of GirlWithBoots is a hot one, Ch 1 of Pee Lust Tale. If you're into watersports, it's an intro that doubtless will lead to extensive aquatic doings, with an ass-fuck or two thrown in.

DG Hear, MFG (Master of Feel-Good), has done two chapters of his latest, and is working on Ch 3. An interesting plot twist this time, and as always, a well-told story. Look for it when he publishes.

GirlWithBoots has booted up again, and Ch 2 of Pee Lust has published. If you're into watersports, it's time to go with the flow. Just a few quibbles amid the dribbles. Urination is sweeping the nation.

SilksStockingsLover is warming up (pun definitely intended) for Halloween. If you like hot sex with multiple partners, and with some humiliation thrown in, Silk's your kind of girl. Await publication when the contest opens.

Sagacious21 is back with a new Romance, "Kenny". Good believable beginning, but when I saw Kenny's old history teacher (recently divorced) inviting him to move in with her, her recently-widowed sister, their young (single mother) maidservant and the maidservant's (single) mother, I became alarmed. Are we going to get GS, labeled as Romance, again? Not that I mind GS, especially since the possibilities here are intriguing, but truth-in-labeling is an important part of good marketing. So c'mon, Sagacious, am I getting Chardonnay or overproof Barbados Rum? If you're pouring, I'm drinking, only let me know what you're pouring before I drink it.

SilkStockingsLover erroneously included some of her notes in the latest episode of "Spanked to Submission". The story is good, and the notes don't give too much away. When I quibbled the story, I didn't eliminate the notes from the text, as I expected Silk to review my quibbles before posting. Moral- never expect.

Grandmistress Lisa Jones posted another chapter of "Limits". Can't get over how good GMLJ's storytelling is.

Serenissima Syd just sent me Ch 13 of "How to Save a Life" to quibble. Next to nothing for me to do, because she is such a pro. My lips and keyboard are sealed, but it will be a must-read for her many admirers.

Ilmonamour has a new series, but it will not be published on Literotica just yet. It's going into a competition on another site. It's really good, and I'm trying to get her to publish here post-contest, if she is able to retain copyright. Of course, it's her call. The story is up to her high standards, involving law, politics, the building trades and, last but never least with Il, sex. And it's set in a favorite city of mine, San Antonio.

And LettersfromTatyana tells me that Ch 6 of "Seven Years Since the Motel" is nearly ready for quibbling and publishing. Can't wait.

Good reading ahead, guys. Put a good energy-efficient bulb in your reading light.

DaYeKen has posted Ch 2 of Secrets and Lies, and it's a good story, although in desperate need of a thorough copy edit.

And Grandmistress Lisa Jones has posted Ch 11 of "Limits". For those who like lesbian BDSM, this is first-class storytelling.

And last but definitely never least is the latest story by DG Hear, MFG, a whodunnit called "Abducted". It's a real downscroller, keeps you guessing.

Thanks for all the nice comments. They truly are appreciated.

RobinE has posted news that s/he is turning "A Rose to Keep" into a full-length novel, which s/he intends to publish commercially. I am delighted to hear it, as s/he is a talented author, and the story is very fine.

LettersfromTatyana sent me Ch 6 of her series "Seven Years Since the Motel" for copy editing. I found it up to her usual high standard; quibbling was a pleasure and so easy. Her fans will be pleased.

DaYeKen's Ch 2 of Secrets and Lies got some rough handling from the commentators; not surprising, as the story has a lot of LW in it. But when he published Ch 1 and left the conclusion up to the readers, he got reprimanded for not concluding it. Talk about damned if you do and damned if you don't! And of course he couldn't get an "H" for either story.

I wonder sometimes why writers keep writing and publishing here, in the face of such treatment. I mean ordinary writers, not the superstars (or those who think they are).

Cruel2BKind, who writes in a genre I don't follow (gay male), has an excellent essay in the how-to department. S/he shows how to avoid the "wanted poster" character description, a bete noir of mine, with really useful examples of techniques. This is as useful a how-to as I've seen in a long time. Well done!

I see LunaEroticaMystica is gearing up for the Halloween competition. I eagerly await her entry. Lavender and Love won a well-deserved place in Summer Lovin', and LEM can bring her characters to life as well as the best of the competitors (of which exalted class she is definitely a member).

tashamk86's debut "Any Port in a Storm" is well-written, hot lesbian sex. A good start.

LunaEroticaMystica has started the next Jersey Shore story, with a Halloween theme. Beta reading it, I found it darker, and even more engaging emotionally than her wonderful Jersey Shore Lovin' story. As summer fades away and autumn grows colder and darker, so does Raina's life and her relationship with Logan. Don't want to give anything away, so stand by to read a really fine story from a top-class storyteller.

peacekeeper25's latest, "Maggie's Farm", is a good story, well told. The ending left me a little flat, as it was unexpected yet contrived. But the writing carried me along nevertheless.

Lucky 13s

Serenissima Syd posted Ch 13 of "How to Save a Life", and Grandmistress Lisa Jones posted Ch 13 of "Limits". A true embarass de richesse, as two of our best writers are smokin'. And having copy edited later chapters of each story, I can assure their fans that the stories get even better. They're real downscrollers, with characters you care about in situations you could encounter in RL.

You go, guys!

Ch 14 of "Limits" just posted, and Grandmistress Lisa Jones' inventiveness once again takes center stage. It even gets better.

A writer with a somewhat streaky voting record (as if that means anything) has come up with a homerun winner. Storm 62's "Another Place-A View From the Bridge" is a winner. In the much ignored Non-Erotic category, Storm has created believable characters, a sweet love story, and a world that makes you utterly suspend your disbelief. Good stuff!! More!!

Really Good Stuff Today (9/28)

Two of the best are back on board today.

LettersFromTatyana has posted Seven Years Since The Motel Ch. 06. It was a long time coming (but not for her characters). LfT’s many fans will love this, and be wanting more.

Grandmistress Lisa Jones has posted Ch 15 of “Limits”. “They’re Livin’ in a Powder Keg and givin' off sparks!” I had tears in my eyes when I copy edited this chapter. Grandmistress Lisa Jones proves once again, as if further proof were needed, that GMLJ is at the top of the table in the Premier League. Wonderful story by a truly gifted writer. More to come, fans. You're gonna love the rest.

Grandmistress Lisa Jones posted Ch 16 of "Limits", and it's another winner.

And Serenissima Syd posted Ch 14 of "How to Save a Life". The plot keeps twisting and turning, and the end of the chapter is wonderful.

Storm62 has written another winner in "Another Place: Where You Need to Be". It's tying up loose ends from his earlier story in the series, sort of an "African Queen" story with a brilliant and beautiful ending. It needs a slight quibble, but I've got a daughter arriving for a visit and will be busy the next few days.

But read the story. It's well worth your time. A truly fine feel-good.

Halloween Competition Starts

And some excellent writing with it. DG Hear, MFG is aboard with Halloween Swing; from the first sentence, his storytelling mastery is apparent. Good luck (and I'm sorry I am conflicted out of voting).

Not a Halloween entry, but a splendid ending to a brilliant series by Grandmistress Lisa Jones, Ch 17 of "Limits" posted. See my public comment. I can't say more. GMLJ leads the league!

Now come on, LunaEroticaMystica, bring on that fine Halloween Jersey Shore story. And I hope some of the other fine writers on Lit have got hot, sweet (or tart, or bitter, or dark, but always well-crafted) stories ready to post.

Oggbashan has entered the Halloween competition with a well-told hostel ghost story. Good local colour. And Storm62 has an engaging "Star Cops" tale, worth reading for all its mechanical flaws.

SilkStockingsLover is onboard for the Halloween competition with Swingers' Train. All Silk's fans will be pleased, as Silk once again gives the fans what they have come (pun intended) to expect from Silk.

The Stangster's Back

On form, and doing what he does best, LW with a difference that is pure Stang. "Do Unto Others" is classic Stangstar06, even though his "whoops" plot twist is frankly unbelievable. But who cares? The story just carries you along.

Change of pace is coming from Grandmistress Lisa Jones. Very promising new departure from one of the best. Watch for it.

I Don't Know How He Does It

but DG Hear, MFG, has another story working, and fans of "Abducted" should be ready for another great read. I wonder when DG Hear, MFG, ever sleeps.
