Not as bad as the ones she bombed me with.
But the weird thing is, I've never seen this many votes per view. About 1 in 12. 240 votes with just over 3K reads. Is that typical in Romance?
No, I found it online. Thought people here might like it.You create that?
Cute pussyNo, I found it online. Thought people here might like it.
This could be the wife and her cat. Except that in the middle of the night it's me going to rescue the cat from things like rain and thunder, while the wife complains about me waking her up, and then the two of them snuggle up together.Late night.
In a break with thread tradition, imma gonna say something nice about another AHer.
I’ve just written a story about two LEOs. I know nothing about LE, no one in my family is a cop or anything.
In particular I know even less than nothing about guns of any type. I’ve never even held one. I tried to do a bit of research but it’s kinda complicated. Then you get on to rifles .
I happened to mention my dilemma to @Voboy who does know about the area, and he was super patient with my ignorance and stupid questions and helped me to - at least I hope - be semi-convincing on the topic.
Glossing over this area would have really detracted from the story, so his help was invaluable.
Oh and this is my third call-out, but I wanted to add one here (maybe in the hope of others doing likewise).
Thanks
Emily
There's lots of great guides like Armed and Dangerous, The Writer's Guide to Weapons, and Throwing Lead, for writers who are unfamiliar with this area. There is also this handy guide from the NSSF.In particular I know even less than nothing about guns of any type. I’ve never even held one.
I invite you and your significant other, to come stay later this year.In a break with thread tradition, imma gonna say something nice about another AHer.

That’s very kind of you - but no desire to get to know guns better IRL, just for a story .I invite you and your significant other, to come stay later this year.
I'll teach you about guns and gun safety.
Well, weapons in general as well.
I grew up around them and hunting.
My daughters could take apart and clean a gun, before they started kindergarten.
My oldest is the back to back to back, reigning and defending Archery Champion in our region.
She shoots barebow and doesn't use modern crossbows.
She shoots old school bows.
It certainly does. The hunters round here have to use bows, which I imagine requires a lot of skill.
Good job @VoboyI happened to mention my dilemma to @Voboy who does know about the area, and he was super patient with my ignorance and stupid questions and helped me to - at least I hope - be semi-convincing on the topic.
Radical take: not really. You just have a shorter range. Bow hunters do it for the love of the art. There are some enduring debates that make this sort of an interesting field though. The hunters round here have to use bows, which I imagine requires a lot of skill.
Bows also have less sound than guns. And some people are more adaptable to them.Radical take: not really. You just have a shorter range. Bow hunters do it for the love of the art. There are some enduring debates that make this sort of an interesting field though.
With bowsSo about those redheads...
And ribbons.With bows
Redheads!?!?!?So about those redheads...
Just as dangerous as guns, but more fun for most of us to talk about.Redheads!?!?!?
Redheads are far more dangerous than guns ever will be, especially when it comes to me.Just as dangerous as guns, but more fun for most of us to talk about.
Redheads in stockings and dressed up like kittensAnd ribbons.
Yeah, I like the happy and bouncy, even if the bouncy is not the usual kind. Even more, really. One redhead in a bow, as requested.
