GET HER!

Heh, yeah. I am glad I haven't wasted my time with Airbender. I keep hearing how bad it was.

On another subject (Not sure if it was covered)

Hobbit movies?

DId they really have to make them into three movies? I would have been happy with two.

I dunno...I loved and hated where Desolation of Smaug ended. That's how you make your audience anticipate the next film, but damnit couldn't the movie lasted a little bit longer for me to see what happens next.

To answer your question. The Hobbit isn't as dense as any of the LOTR books but its dense enough to expand it into 3 films. The question of should they...I dunno. But it does give me longer to visit that world than if they split it into only 2 movies. So I won't be critical about it.

Fixed it for you.

:eek:Whoa there Vail:eek: Don't put words in his mouth...he has a valid opinion about it.

Still it was funny though...I thought it said better than first class instead of chewing glass there.:D

Are you saying he DIDN'T like it better than chewing glass?

Scutt's the only one who can answer that one.
For me yes...I liked them better than chewing glass.....which is still not saying much.

Glass... hhhhmm.... nope, not going to chew on that one

Finished season one of The Following and season eight of Supernatural today. Going through my list of stuff to watch and nothing sounds good. I hate finishing seasons.

How do you finish season one of The Following and not go straight to season two?

Because I got the dates mixed up and thought it started later in February, like the premiere was delayed or something. But now it's too late and I haven't had time to catch up.

I started season 2 of The Following, and there's a good change to it, but I'm not sure I want to keep watching.
I found myself really liking season 1 of Supernatural, but I hate that I like it and ended up stopping.
Yes, I am exactly that mature.

I did just watch the first season of Hannibal and it was REALLY good.

I know that feeling. It's kind of how I felt about season one, tbh. And when I first started watching Supernatural I was initiated by someone who didn't tell me how much of a "thing" the show was. By the time I realized it, I was already involved. I tried to take a break after watching, because I lost track somewhere in season five, but then I caught up and it's just... ugh. I'm seriously debating quitting it, though. Just grossed out with the direction of the show.

I want to watch Hannibal!!!

Picked up a copy of Riddick today.

What are your opinions on the Riddick saga? From Pitch Black to the video games, to Riddick the movie.

I like it! I want more! Its like Conan in Space to me... in a way.

So thoughts?

Jack's Review of RoboCop.

Man, Machine, Soul, Programming, Right, Wrong.

Can a machine be more efficient then Man? Can a man still be a man when you try to program out his soul. These are the questions I felt were asked and portrayed in the new RoboCop movie. It dealt it in a way I found to be balanced after a while that made the movie very enjoyable. I will not spoil it so this is going to be very brief.

If you enjoyed the 1987 RoboCop movie, then do not expect the same results. While this movie covers many aspects from the original, it does so in its own way. There are quotes and scenes that will make you think of the first movie, but other then that this Movie can stand on it own. If you want a movie that makes you ask the questions Man Vs Machine, Soul Vs Programming, then I recommend this movie.

Slight Spoilers said:
Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson do great in their roles as does everyone else, but these two stand out in my opinion. Gary Oldman plays the doctor that turns whats left of Alex Murphy into RoboCop while also trying to in his own way save his soul in the process. Samuel L Jackson's character does a great job of Political Commentator with his own agenda. They, in my opinion are what really sell this movie.

Jack Approved and Tested. Go see this movie. I bet you will end up enjoying it.

I haven't finished House of Cards season one, but I plan to do so soon. I do a little happy wiggle every time Kevin Spacey addresses the audience.

I started watching The Good Wife, and am both ashamed/gleeful about the story so far. I'm into season three, I think? They obviously make some fuck ups but they're good about addressing social issues, in the most general sense. I like that they present law as argued, even though it's obviously more theatrical and less tedious than real court.

I found out that I have a hard time watching scenes of Judith in Walking Dead this week. Just the idea of a baby in a post-apocalypse zombie landscape makes me cringe and get all worried, so I didn't watch the majority of the episode. Thoughts from anyone on that episode?

PS: Vail, I adore you, but Amazon Prime takes up SO MUCH DATA. I had an email from my provider. It's something like Netflix = 10MB versus Amazon = 100 MB. I've never had a problem with usage before and so that really sucked. I like Prime a lot but come on!

Whoa! I didn't know that! My provider doesn't appear to care, at least.

Yeah, I have Mediacom, and they suck so much it's painful. They've been doing this data cap thing for awhile but now that Net Neutrality was struck down they're trying to run away with as much money as possible. It's just crappy. I want Google Fiber. :(

I really hope Marvel pulls it off. I enjoyed the trailer, but I'm concerned about the oddball tone in the film....will this work for two hours?

If you did not see Ian McKellan and Patrick Stewart on Seth Meyers Friday, then your life is incomplete.

Okay, Walking Dead, I get why that was important. But how fucking circular can you get? Jeez.
