Five memories that make you smile?

I can't to the architecture one, simply because I don't know the names of the buildings I like and I don't think 'black and gold Gothic looking building somewhere in Manhattan' would help

Memories that make me smile:

1) Every Christmas and birthday since my kids arrived

2) Walking out of a hotel lift in New York, and being complimented by an intimidating looking guy in a uniform (Sailors' weekend thing?) because my 12 year old son automatically grabbed hold of his little sister's hand to walk with her without being asked. It was the 'God bless you, ma'am' at the end that made me smile :D (we don't hear that in the UK....)

3) After a traumatic week, physically and emotionally, after my son was born, and I was feeling shocked and ugly and hating my body, hubby making me laugh with a monologue of the conversation my internal organs would be having, each accusing the other of mislaying the baby they'd had with them for 9 months

4) Standing in the queue to check in at a Disneyland Paris hotel, and looking around to see 3 year old daughter making a beeline for Goofy. He was signing autographs for a group of kids in front of him, and she was too small to get noticed. So she ran behind, dived under his coat and hugged him from behind, while he jumped up about 3 feet in the air

5) Every visit I make to the Lake District.

Passing it on....

5 memories that make me smile...

1. A perfect late afternoon after a day of perfect skiing in Big Sky, MT.

2. An unexpected I love you at the Golden Nugget of all places.

3. The first time I saw U2 in 1983. It set me on a path of a love for live music.

4. Wedding day

5. The day I quit my job to stay home with the hubs. It was bittersweet, leaving an 18 year career. It was a sh*tty reason to have to stay home. And yet, I get to stay home and be with him. This makes me smile.

(Waiting for Elle's architecture reply!)

TODAY, these are my recalls of happy memories...luckily, I have lots.

1. Making peach and plum dumplings with my Grandma.
2. Having "The Talk" with my then 9 year old son. Said "penis into vagina". He was floored... "So, you just walk up to someone and announce 'I'm going to do this to you??!'"
3. The first time I fell completely in love with my boys. My older kid, I had a rough time, it was on my Bday 3 weeks later. I was holding him and he opened 1 eye and it completely washed over me. Younger kid the second he was born, because I already knew
4. Being Upstate and smelling the air and hanging with Summer friends at the pool.
5. My wedding day. I was never happier in my life.

Pass this on.

Atticus, good lord, what a man.
Too bad he's fake.

Most of my greatest male crushes are fictional * sigh *

Isn't it terrible? Gah, even the way he's described physically is hot.

Also, Rhett Butler, that rapey fuck.
Faramir from LOTR
John Corey, cop from Nelson DeMille series. Cocky, cocky, cocky.

All of GOT.

Geez.

I think you could have done well with the architecture one with a good description of what the building was and location. And these are wonderful memories.
