5 Things I enjoy about fall

The changing of the leaves....such a beautiful assortment of colors.
Halloween - everything to do with it....costumes, decorations, haunted hayrides, tv specials.....the old Charlie Brown and Garfield ones being old favorites.
Return of fall seasonal brews....in particular Sam Addams Ocktoberfest
Great sleeping/napping weather....can leave a window open and enjoy a cool breeze, then before I know it, out like a light.
Also good weather for bonfires/fire pits.....not too hot nor cold.

Name your top 5 Halloween themed films/tv specials.

Halloween. The original.
Great Pumpkin
The Simpsons
Young Frankenstein (cries)
... Any scary movie. I'll grab what's on and watch it alone, in my basement. I'm partial to 80s slashers. But really, I'll watch anything.

Live with Regis and Kelly (before Regis retired)
Cutthroat Kitchen

Sorry, i only have four.

Pass on the question.

Rocky Horror
Hocus pocus
Halloween town
Simpsons Halloween special
Rosanne Halloween special
Nightmare before Christmas

I have this awesome Masters of Terror DVD set with 100s of hours of really old B rated horror slashers, creature features, and a few major classics too. I usually crack that out to get me in the mood when I'm cleaning or doing other adult tasks.

I usually do 31 days of Halloween alongside others, mostly slasher flicks, but I throw in a healthy mix of supernatural, Giallo, and zombie movies. With the occasional cannibalsploitation or mondo film tossed out if I want people to leave :D.

I'll list the top five

1. Original Halloween 1 & 2 ( played back to back as one long movie )
2. Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre
3. Suspiria
4. Trick r Treat
5. Return of the Living Dead

Name your top 5 Halloween themed films/tv specials.

I love Halloween, so I enjoy just about all the Tv specials, the Simpsons and Roseanne are great examples, as well as horror/slasher films in general. Not necessarily a "top 5" but being more specific....

The Crow
Sleepy Hollow
A Nightmare Before Christmas
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown special
The Original Halloween

And an honorary mention, Ernest Scared Stupid. Haven't seen it since I was a kid, but I enjoyed watching that movie, rented it several times from Blockbuster.

5 costumes I have been.

Last year I was a Sith Lord, bought a devil mask that lit up to make up my own character. Used a Darth Vader fx lightsaber, not one of the cheap kind. (Although they're fun to play with too.)
Walter White and thankfully managed to find a pork pie hat to complete the look
A zombie in a suit
A devil/demon in the same suit as the zombie. Called myself "Bill Zaybob".
An evil Jester

Passing it on.......

Oh, OH!! I was also Little Red Riding Hood. Adult party. Hubs was supposed to be a wolf, but he wore plaid and said he was the lumberjack.

I've only ever dressed up for Halloween once when I was 7 or 8 as a pumpkin.

Only costume I remember is when my mom dressed me up as a giraffe.

OTOH, the BEST costume I've ever seen was so simple it amazes everyone. We went out for dinner at a chain steak joint. Our waitress wore a green hospital gown. You know, the one that opens in the back. She had this HUGE pink plastic butt sticking out of the opening.

This was 20 years ago and I still remember it.

Pass it onward...

1. Tippi Hedren from the Birds. I wired all these birds from a craft store flying at me, some landed in my hair. I thought it was hilarious but no one knew who I was - they kept calling me the bird lady.

2. In my 20's some girlfriends and I went as 20's flappers. Some guy thought I looked like Eleanor Roosevelt so that stuck all night.

3. Went to a kink Halloween party as a lawyer for the firm Bendover, Spreadem, Wyder and Wyder.

4. A girlfriend and I went as shipwrecked Ginger and MaryAnn from Gilligan's Island (I was Ginger) so our makeup was all runny, we had seaweed in our hair, fish coming out of our clothes.

5. I think I've posted this before - went as Bride of Frankenstein. My hair lit up!

Five spooky things that scare you

I love the tippi hendron idea. I would have been all over you. I was mentioned the birds very briefly to someone last week.

1. Escalators. And downhills
2. The mechanisms of lever arch files
3. The film taken ( I Managed about seven minutes of it)
4. Some people
5. Some other people

Pass it.

5 spooky things that scare me?

Clowns.
Creepy little girls.
Dolls.
Marionettes.
Ventriloquist dummies.

Pass it.

Hmmmm.... 5 spooky things.

I'm scared of stuff, but I don't know how spooky it is. Spiders. Those enormous cockroaches  (I have a serious phobia about those things). The dark  I love a good, scary movie. Some animals and people scare me too!

Pass!
