For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Russia displaying the barbarism inherent to Russians and continuing to launch double tap terror attacks on civilians, first targeting civilian targets and the attacking rescue workers. Over the past months, Russia's “double-tap” attacks escalated, killing nearly 30 rescue workers in Odesa, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia and wounding more than 20 in March and April of 2024 alone, according to Timothy Hanway, the acting U.S. envoy to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). In a recent interview with the Ukrainian media Interfax on July 19, the head of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service Andrii Danyk said that 93 emergency workers were killed and almost 400 wounded since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion. “We lose people almost every day,” he told Interfax. “Recently, the enemy has generally announced a hunt for our employees.”

The Regimental Battle Song of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 3rd Separate Special Forces Regiment, named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave: "Song of the Brave".

The Ukrainian Navy, along with other units of defence forces, have severely damaged the Russian ferry Slavyanin in the port of Kavkaz. The occupiers used this ferry to transport railway wagons, vehicles and containers for military purposes.

Port Kavkaz is a small harbour on the Chushka Spit in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, on the eastern side of Kerch Strait, able to handle vessels up to 130 metres (430 ft) in length, and is the eastern terminal of the railroad and car Kerch Strait ferry line connecting Krasnodar Krai with Crimea.

Losses like these narrow the options for Russia to sustain forces in Crimea and southern Kherson without the bridge. This was Russia's last railway ferry in the region, used for military transport.

That's all she reads
Sadly, a lot of very decent people have been misled by a combination of Russian propaganda and Biden's partisan approach to Ukraine, which almost turned ME into opposing any aid for Ukraine, just because Biden tried to turn it into a partisan issue, rather than building bi-partisan support from the start.

It took a lot of work by Biden to do that, but he persevered, and this, sadly, is the end result. It's sad, but I understand it. And oppose it to. There are many reasons we should be supporting Ukraine, and I'm sure that support will continue once Trump is President. He's a firm believer in realpolitik, and there's far to much at stake to NOT support Ukraine. A lot of GOP voters may be disappointed by that but Trump can make the hard decisions that are for the benefit of the USA. As he proved when he WAS President.

Buffalogurl will see the light! The MSM have unfortunately had their usual baneful influence on public opinion.

I posted something a couple of days ago on water shortages impacting Russians. Here's more....this is from a Russian Telegram channel

Despite searing temperatures of up to 40°C (104°F), Russian fighter pilots in Ukraine and southern Russia are reportedly being issued with only 1 litre (36 oz) of water per day. In between sorties, they are said to be driving around nearby villages begging for water. The Fighterbomber Telegram channel has published a despairing post complaining about a chronic shortage of drinking water for Russian pilots stationed at forward airfields. The author writes:

"The guys have been fighting from forward airfields for several months and for several months everything has been bad with food. You can say it doesn't exist. If with dry rations everything was solved after a time, then with water everything turned out to be difficult. It turns out that pilots are not allowed water. None. "After the intervention of those who don't give a fuck, within a day the issue with rations was essentially resolved, and the water issue was partially resolved. A water standard has appeared.

One
Litre
Of
Water
Per day
Per person.

When not flying combat missions, pilots are forced to drive around the surrounding villages in search of water. It should be noted that the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is about 3.7 litres (130 oz) of fluids a day. In very hot temperatures, more water is likely to be needed or dehydration will result. The channel appeals to Russian bottled water manufacturers to "deliver water to the nearest military airfield. Preliminary, this is Voronezh, Rostov, and any military airfield in Crimea. Wherever is more convenient for you. Water in one-and-a-half-litre bottles is more convenient, but we'll take any.

The south of Ukraine and Russia are currently experiencing very high temperatures and severe drought. The Kakhovka dam's destruction in June 2023 has cut off most of the water supply to Crimea. Ukrainian attacks on Russian supply chains are also likely to be a factor in causing shortages of food and water. Russian troops have recently filmed themselves having to drink nettle soup for lack of food supplies.1721789645578.png

This article also mentions the ferry that was attacked wasn't carrying a large group of civilians....
Chloe tzang........ I'm not supporting either the Russians or the Ukrainians. I firmly believe in "not my monkey, not my circus". My problem with this entire shit show is the current crime family in power is stealing my tax dollars and sending my military equipment to a bottomless black hole while my veterans are homeless, my roads, highways, bridges and electrical grid is crumbling.......
The draft is going to be reinstated "they" will send you and or your children to die in either the abyss of Ukraine or the killing floor of the middle east...... the question remains..... are you, or for that matter willing to die or be maimed for an crime ridden administration that could care less about you or yours?

That deserves more than a short reply, so I'll come back to that tonite. Bit short of time today, but I appreciate the concerns - a LOT of people share those

Whoa, a biggie. The Ukrainian government awarded Rheinmetall an order to construct an ammunition production plant, with completion expected within 24 months. The project, costing several hundred million euros, includes providing all necessary technical equipment. Ammo production expected to start around the 24 month mark. Ukraine is moving big time to reduce it's dependence on foreign governments for ammo and you can bet this is for 155mm.

Separately, Slovakia is gearing up and producing more ammo for commercial sale to Ukraine. This war has boosted Slovakia's GDP by 2%, with all the sales to Ukraine.
