For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

From midnight on, Chloe has switched sides and will join you in extolling the wisdom and prescience of Jake and Joe. Without them, Ukraine would have long since been defeated. We are fortunate indeed to have such wisdom in our leaders. We can only live in anticipation of the President Harris negotiating a just and lasting peace.

I now self-identify as Chloe "Call me Che" Tzang. Please show some respect, as referring to me as a MAGAt is both offensive and denigrating my new identity. Perhaps we can use this as a teaching moment, enabling you to set aside your no doubt white patriarchal attitude of condescension to a female Person of Color who has seen the light. In fact, I would recommend some serious self-reflection here on your part. As both a female and a Person of Color, I outscore you substantially in social identity ranking and unless you apologize for your denigrating comments and obvious sexist, racist and oppressively patriarchial views in a socially approved rite of ritual humiliation and abnegation, I shall have to regard you as not worthy of regard as an Ally in the Cause.

Soooooooo…. the problem with “pretending” to be on the side of the left for you means, as you’re showing right now on your meme thread, is that you’re having to now tell demonstrable truths and facts.

I was looking forward to this and so far have not been disappointed. 🥰 You were doomed to fail from the start.

It’s impossible to show the fallacy of a fact and you are proving not adept enough to add any sarcasm or hypocrisy to your objection to the liberal view. If anything, you’re confusing the conservatives and MAGAs who have come to willingly lap up your misinformation. Please. Do continue throughout this 24 hour period. 🍿🍿🍿

Practice practice practice. This does not come overnight, but we shall see how we progress. I gave myself a week.

You don’t sound like a liberal. You sound like a conservative pretending to be a liberal.

Today, the Russian Airforce shot down 21 F-16's over Ukraine, and destroyed its bases.

Ukrainian Air Force F16 over Lviv. One of my great-grandfather's was from outside of Lviv - so proud to finally see this moment. One more small step towards a Ukrainian victory.

This war started with "Kyiv will fall within 72 hours" and with "Resistance is futile, Zelensky needs to flee to Poland ASAP." Now, 890 days after the invasion began, Ukraine is still standing, Ukraine continues to fight on, gaining strength with every day and every week and every month that passes, and now we are seeing Ukrainian Air Force F-16s roar over Ukrainian cities. Something that was repeatedly, persistently, and unequivocally called IMPOSSIBLE by so many.

Slava Ukraini! Heroiam Slava!

Is Russia really suffering from sanctions? No not from where I'm standing .....

18% interest rate and rising inflation has an impact and it's all climbing. Never forget, Russia is NOT a superpower. It's a gas station economy based on oil and mining. Mining exports are more or less sanctioned and there are other suppliers. Oil is there main source of foreign exchange, and Ukraine are targeting critical parts of Russia oil refineries with drone strikes. Some of those key parts are not made in Russia, and even if they can sanction bust, it takes months and sometimes years to replace them. Nope, the Russian economy is being screwed over, and Russia's economy is about the size of California's. Ukraine are holding their own and building their military strength while Russia is on a declining slope and for all the noise they make, the best Putin can hope for it to hang on to some overrun and economically now useless territory for a few years. IF he is lucky, and whatever else happens, President Trump will NOT let Russia win this one. It's not in our interests to give Putin a win, or even a draw, as Biden and Sullivan have been trying to game.

The drone wars will continue, Russian industry will be drone struck into oblivion and at some point in the next 2 years Ukraine will recapture Kerson and Crimea. At that point the Russian Army and the Putin regime will likely collapse, the Russian Federation will disintegrate and Russia will ne just another little European State that will eventually be integrated into the EU, along with Belarus, Georgia and maybe Armenia at some point.

In response to the pressure being applied to Russia..... they are bolstering their self-reliance as depicted in the remains of their ordinance. nato is discovering that computer chips made outside of Russia are now being manufactured in Russia. That's just the tip of the iceberg....... dig around and learn how many nato donated missile systems Russia is killing on a daily basis.... don't believe what nato says watch what nato is doing..... ie recalling out of date missile systems from around the globe...make no mistakes Russia will defeat Ukraine....and at the present technically Ukraine is destroyed...

It'll be 610,000 odd by end of August, and extrapolating, likely 750 by the end of the year, over a million by the end of 2025 if the Russians keep fighting. Cmbined with the guys who wisely took the chicken run, an entire generation of young men lost, which will spark off a demographic crisis for Russia.

Russia is now using WW2-era artillery and post-WW2 tanks. Ukraine is building and receiving state-of-the-art 155mm guns that outrange and outshoot Russian guns, they will be building light 105mm howitzers by the end of this year, they have their own factories building 120mm mortars, 155mm ammo manufacturing is coming on line, the old 122mm lines are producing and expanding, the Czechs are sourcing ammo worldwide, Rheinmetall is producing Fuchs and Lynxes in Ukraine and will be building new tanks, the Ukraine is building their own HIMARS-analog, Europe will keep building and delivering SAM systems, those British laser systems are going to be field tested in Ukraine, there are (at least) 14 new Ukrainian Brigades training and (too slowly) being equipped, F16's are on the way, Mirage 2000's will come, and likely Gripens too. Bell is pitching the 407M light attack helicopter to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Navy is rebuilding (2 corvettes now) and likely more - by the time this war is over the Black Sea will be a Ukrainian and Turkish Lake, NOT a private Russian boating reserve. Not to mention the Neptune, which is rapidly turning into a cruise-missile analog with which Ukraine will be able to pound Russia in deep penetration strikes. Russia may have a "large" defence industry but it is centralized, susceptible to strikes on key facilities, and as in the Cold War, the USA, Europe and Japan can outspend Russia into oblivion and bankrupt them. As long as Ukraine plays the long game and minimizes casualties, Russia has lost already and it's just a matter of time.....

See post above.

Romania plans to collaborate with Ukraine on the development and modernization of the R-360 "Neptune" missile. This partnership aims to jointly control the coastal waters of the Black Sea in the post-war period. And it's not really an anti-ship missile anymore either......its anti-everything. it has gps to terminal infrared homing which basically means it can be used to hit moving targets at sea and on land. In other words, a long range cruise missile capable of strikes deep into Russia on key targets and with a 150kg warhead. Badda-badda-boom!

Currently, Ukraine is working on increasing the missile's range to 1000km and ramping up production. Between Turkey, Ukraine and Romania, the Russian Navy's dominance in the Black Sea has pretty much evaporated. Russia's ability to do naval projection in any strength has pretty much vanished for the next 20 years, and THAT is assuming the Russian Federation still exists by the end of this war.

Hey, a new Technical, based of course on the wonderully versatile Toyota Landcruiser. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have expanded their fleet with a new domestically developed armored vehicle. The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the use of the Dzura armored vehicle, which is designed for various tactical tasks and built by the Ukrainian armored vehicle manufacturer NVO Praktyka. Engineers modified the original chassis by reinforcing the suspension and improving the braking system to support the increased weight. The vehicle features an armored capsule providing protection equivalent to NATO STANAG 4569 level 1, capable of withstanding 5.45 mm caliber bullets and protecting against multiple grenade explosions under the wheels or floor. The armor is made from special ballistic steel, combining ultra-high hardness and high plasticity, and the multilayer bulletproof glass includes a polycarbonate anti-shatter layer to protect against secondary splinters.

Designed as a mobile armored wheeled platform, the Djura is primarily intended for low-risk tactical missions, mainly for police units and special operations forces. It allows for the rapid movement of command personnel and their protection in tactical and operational depth. In addition to its main function of protecting and transporting command personnel, the Djura can also be used to transfer small combat groups and equipment to combat mission areas, as well as perform fire support tasks by installing machine guns, anti-tank systems, air defense systems, or jammers.

Unlike Russia, with a few critical and highly centralized industrial concerns, the Ukraine defence industry is diversified, with many smaller concerns designing, innovating and developing rapidly. Here is yet another product of that decentralized approach.

Weighing 5 tons, it has a robust 200-horsepower diesel engine with either automatic, semi-automatic, or manual transmissions based on customer requirements and can reach a road speed of 120 km/h. It also has a range of 1300 km. The Djura is equipped with numerous features to improve crew ergonomics and comfort, including special interior lighting, a driving camera with infrared mode for night driving, rearview and parking cameras, an electric winch, 12V/5V sockets, an electric heating system for the windshield and front door windows, a navigation system, and preparation for the installation of additional equipment like radios. It can also be equipped with an optional searchlight.

NVO Praktyka is a Ukrainian company specializing in the design and manufacture of armored vehicles for military and security use. Founded in the 1990s, Praktyka has now become a major player in the Ukrainian defense industry, known for its innovations and product quality. Among the vehicles they produce is the Kozak armored vehicle, designed to offer high protection against ballistic and explosive threats while being capable of traversing difficult terrain. In addition to its utility armored vehicles, Praktyka develops infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) like the Otaman, a modern IFV equipped with advanced weapon systems and offering enhanced mobility and protection for troops on the battlefield.

These vehicles, like the Djura, developed by NVO Praktyka, enable discreet and rapid operations, reducing troop exposure to enemy fire and ambushes. Their ability to be equipped with various weapon and defense systems, such as machine guns, anti-tank systems, and jammers, enhances the Ukrainian army's ability to conduct effective tactical missions while minimizing human losses. Additionally, the domestic production of these vehicles allows for a rapid response to the specific needs of the Ukrainian theater of operations. In response to the Russian invasion, Ukraine is actively developing its defense industrial base by forming partnerships with foreign companies and conglomerates. For instance, the partnership with the Turkish company Baykar for the production of Bayraktar TB2 drones has significantly boosted the Ukrainian army's surveillance and strike capabilities.

Similarly, collaboration with Western manufacturers, such as acquiring air defense systems and light armored vehicles from various NATO countries, enables Ukraine to improve its defensive capabilities. These international collaborations not only enhance the operational effectiveness of the Ukrainian army but also contribute to the growth and modernization of the national defense industry by integrating advanced technologies and promoting skill transfers.

And THAT is just a small part of what is going on inside Ukraine. Never forget, most Ukrainians are descendants of the Cossacks, NOT Russian muzhiks....

Slava Ukraini!
