For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

KYIV - The Ukrainian minister in charge of weapons production resigned on Tuesday in anticipation of another defense role and four other ministers stood down in a major government shake-up at a critical juncture in the war with Russia.

The resignations of Strategic Industries Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin, Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna and the justice, environment and reintegration ministers leaves over a third of the cabinet vacant after sackings earlier this year.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his political allies could move to fill the positions to create order before he travels this month to the United States, where he hopes to present a "victory plan" to U.S. President Joe Biden, a key ally.

Russian ballistic missiles struck a Ukrainian military institute in the city of Poltava and a nearby hospital, killing at least 41 people and injuring more than 180 others, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday.
Two ballistic missiles struck the area, the Ukrainian leader said, vowing that Russia would suffer consequences for the deadly attack.

"People were trapped under the rubble. Many people were rescued, but more than 180 were injured. Unfortunately, there are many casualties. As of now, we know that 41 people were killed. My deepest condolences to all of their relatives and loved ones," Zelensky said in a statement posted to social media.

"The time interval between the alarm and the arrival of the deadly missiles was so short that it caught people during an evacuation to the bomb shelter," Ukraine's Defense Ministry said.

I wonder if it's Russian strategy to kill families and children to get Ukraine to capitulate.

Nah.....👍

Nope. It's a deliberate strategy to pressure Ukraine into placing more anti-missile defenses around cities to protect them from terror attacks, drawing them away from protecting front line troops so they can hit them with glide bombs without taking as many losses. ZSU only as a finite number of air defense systems capable of taking out Russian cruise and ballistic missiles unfortunately, which is why getting those air defense systems is so critical. Patriot systems are just about the only ones that can take out ballistic missiles, which is why the Biden Administration not sending a few more Patriots systems is unforgivable.

🙄

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang is an intellectually deficient and dishonest traitor.

President Biden has been relentlessly working to get more advanced air defense systems to Ukraine - and not just U.S. supplied advanced air defense systems.

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang is “unforgivable”.

Don't fool yourself, Laz. Jake Sullivan has slow-walked aid for the last two years and is continually doing his best to kneecap any chance that Ukraine might win. Question for ya. How many Patriot systems does the US have? How many Patriots Systems has the US sent to Ukraine?

Another question for ya. Canada paid the USA for a NASAMs system. Has it been delivered yet? Has it even been ordered?

Another question. How many Bradleys does the US have? How many have we sent to Ukraine?

How many Abrams tanks do we have? How many have we sent to Ukraine?

How many F16's do we have? How many have we sent to Ukraine? Why did we prevent EU countries handing over their F16's to Ukraine immediately?

How many Blackhawks do we have? How many have we sent to Ukraine?

How many A10 Warthogs do we have? How many have we sent to Ukraine?

Gosh. How many M198 155mm howitzers do we have? How many have we sent to Ukraine? We don't even use them anymore.

That 6 months where we didn't send 155mm artillery ammo to Ukraine? We still had the funding. We were still manufacturing 155mm ammo? Where did it go and who sent it there?

Don't be so fucking stupid. Biden has been working relentlessly to drip feed aid to Ukraine and stop Russia losing. Ukraine of course will win despite Biden.

Fun night in Novorossiysk, the large remaining Black Sea russian navy base and commercial seaport, one of Russia’s largest by volume and among the biggest in Europe, crucial to the export of Russian grain, oil, and other products to countries around the world. The port is under attack by Ukrainian amphibious drones. The mayor Andrey Kravchenko requests citizens stay away from the port. And the shore. And their windows. The Katsapas moved the remnants of their Black Sea Fleet there. Wonder how much of it will be left by the morning?

Between 1858 and 1900 the Russian Empire annexed over 950,000 square Km of land in east and North East Asia from Imperial China using support from UK and France to steal this land (The Amur Annexation) China has never accepted the forced treaties. Eventually Putin is gunna get the bill from Xi for his support in Ukraine. It seems to me that the USA should probably encourage Xi to direct his attention to the Amur Basin rather than at Taiwan. Putting the old border back would also put North Korea entirely at China's mercy which might be no bad thing.

Here's who people should be listening to if they want to know what is actually happening in Ukraine and what is likely to happen in the future:

Much like you.

You have zero credibility on the subject since anything negative about Ukraine or the Biden administration is Russian propaganda and we know all about your lies and pleadings about and to "Russian propaganda."

McGregor, Davis, and Mearsheimer and many others are right on top of the subject. They have inside credible sources both here and in Europe. You have been lied to, just like you've been lied to about every fucking war America has had, all the way back to Vietnam. You've being lied to right now by the Biden Administration about what is happening in Ukraine. You haven't listened to any of their analysis.

Ukraine is in the process of being defeated strategically. NATO and the Biden administration is being defeated in the process as well...as predicted. Aside from a nuclear exchange, the outcome of this war and Ukraine's future will be dictated by the Russians who have said that negotiations are now off the table. The Russians have said they now they consider themselves at war with the "West," which the "West" as we speak is in no condition whatsoever to prosecute such a war. This is going to end in failure, just like Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In all of which the American people were thoroughly lied to by their government about their operational success and probably outcome.

That's a lot of words for agreeing with Putin.

The Russians say a lot of shit. And you believe it all.

Useful idiot

I don't believe anything the Russian government says, but I do take their diplomatic public statements like, "we believe are at war with the west," seriously. Our government lies to us constantly. I don't believe anything our government media says either. I do believe well informed apolitical people who present expert analysis in their fields of endeavor that make sense with the realities ion the ground. One of these days this thing will end and we'll see who was correct and who wasn't.

They are propaganda statements. Every red line has been scare.tactics.

Remember when they publicly said they weren't invading Ukraine?

How'd that go?

You are too stupid, too immature, and uninformed, on the subject to engage me any further so don't bother. It's a waste of both of our time.

You literally parrot Russian talking points.

Daily.

You're not smart...else you'd see that you're doing this.

And it's not because you are avoiding western media.....it's because you want Russia to win.

I attended an interesting lecture today. A retired military officer, neither American or Brit, spoke on the proposition that the USA's involvement in supplying arms to support Ukraine is (and will) in fact save the US taxpayer Billions of $. He summarised the fact that cheap ordinance (Drones and the like) coupled with superb satellite intelligence was making a terrible mess of mobile armour whether on land or sea. Essentially his view was that new cheap weaponry was more effective than tanks, their specialized support and surface warships.

I am not totally convinced of his argument given that 95% of Generals prefer to fight the last war rather than the next, but if there are multiple brain cells in Congress it should on current experience be much more difficult in future to get appropriations for big ticket hardware.

I think you have this backwards. Many Generals, who study war, are acutely aware of the changing warscape. Congress, on the other hand, wants to fight the wars they grew up with and boast about the number of tanks being built in their district.

Canada sending 29 M113's and 64 Coyote's to Ukraine. These are old end of life IFV's, that the Canadians have been planning to scrap for a good couple of years now. It's good that they are going to Ukraine, but soooo frustrating that these could have been refurbished and sent two frigging years ago. The slow-walking of aid to Ukraine is pathetic. Canada could easily have sent a couple of hundred LAV III's as well. Ah well, there's enough Coyote's and M113's there for another Brigade I guess.
