For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Key Ukrainian Stronghold of Ugledar About To Fall, After ‘The Fortress’ Resisted Russian Advances for Two and a Half Years

by Paul Serran Sep. 26, 2024 10:45 am

If one is following the war in Ukraine just by browsing some of the more optimistic headlines from the Mockingbird Media, they may not realize just how dire the situation for the defenders has become in almost all areas of the frontline, particularly in the vital Donetsk oblast.

Sure enough, Kiev has managed some good PR stunts, both by making an incursion into Russian territory in the Kursk region and by blowing up a large munitions deposit that wielded spectacular images.

But of course, the Kursk adventure is strategically meaningless, and Russia blows up dozens of munitions deposits every month – and produces much more military supplies than Ukraine, the US, and the EU together.

And while Kiev is busy chasing PR victories, the Russian Federation troops have been relentlessly advancing all over the 700-mile-long frontline.

They also use neutral sources as well. If you had watched a few of these you'd know.
I did watch a few and I noticed how they say they are against aggression against Ukraine.....lol. Im sure you believe that.

Not against invasion...just aggression

It's not a key stronghold. It's a town with no significance.

You are an ignorant dunce. If it has no value why has Ukraine defended it to the death for two and a half years? You don't read too well do you?

How important is Vuhledar?

Located 50 kilometres south of Pokrovsk, Vuhledar, the strategic roadway junction and logistics hub, is often called a fortress. It has been holding on for two and a half years since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.

There are concerns over the possible consequences of the loss of Vulhedar, specifically on how it could pose a threat to the southern flank of Pokrovsk — a priority target for the Russian army in the Donetsk region.

But the ISW argues that Russia's potential seizure of Vuhledar is unlikely to fundamentally alter the course of offensive operations in this area, saying that Vuhledar is not a particularly crucial logistics node — Russian forces already either control or have fire control over most of the main roads running into the town.

Pokrovsk is a key target....as is mentioned in your quote

Vuhledar (Ugledar) is how you get there. Now gather up all of your leftist non-believers and learn the truth about Ukraine from one of your own. The peerless Glen Greenwald. Watch and learn how you've been manipulated:

So it's not a key city. It's a strategic city.

Greenwald isn't one of "my own"

You can believe whatever you want about him.

I don't follow him nor do I pay attention to anything he says.

I already know what's going on in Ukraine. And it's not based on Russian propaganda.

You don't have a clue.

Zelensky’s latest trip to the United States isn’t over yet, but already dangerous warning signs have emerged. Ukraine has been sucked fully into the partisan doom loop, with potentially dire consequences. ...the relentless effort by partisan Democrats to claim Ukraine as their pet foreign policy issue - at least until Israel was attacked by Hamas - has done untold harm to Ukraine’s war effort.....the hard truth is that by enabling the Biden-Harris Administration’s slow-roll, drip-feed approach to Ukraine aid instead of threatening to withhold support in 2022 and 2024, pro-Ukraine Democrats fed this monster. Failing to either deter Putin in the first place or fully repel his invasion after nearly three years of fighting has given Trump an opening that might win him the election outright....

Another good post by Andrew Tanner, largely about Trump / Harris/Biden & Ukraine. The general gist is, the Biden Administration has relentlessly worked to make Ukraine into a partisan political issue in the US, something in which they have succeeded all to well now, thereby pushing Trump into an increasingly anti-Ukraine stance publicly. Tanner also things what I think, that the Biden Admin twisted Zelensky's arm into that Scranton factory visit, thereby just about guaranteeing GOP "outrage." Anyhow, an interesting read.

Realpolitik.....Trump will crucify Harris / Biden over their incompetence in Ukraine, yap yap yap on all the key talking points and after he's President he will switch to lend-lease, which will be a win for both sides. Betcha.

The UK will send 16 more AS-90 artillery guns to Ukraine. With 10 systems already delivered and six more to follow in the coming weeks, a total of 16 additional units are now on course for delivery. These are on top of the AS90's handed over to Ukraine earlier in the war

These are rates of loss than Russia cannot sustain. Their mobilization pool is about 30,000 men per month and they're now losing around 40-45k. Likewise with artillery.

Question for Chloe: are you actually convinced that Trump will continue aid to Ukraine, and if so, what makes you believe this?

Of course. Maybe post another RT news piece or another MacGregor video

👍
Colonel Macgregor, Greenwald, the Military Summary, John Mearsheimer, Lt. Colonel Daniel Davis, Lt. Colonel Tony Shaffer, are not RT news services or Russian propagandists. They're better-informed Americans than you are.

Yes, you've mentioned that you believe that multiple times already.

You can believe whatever you want. I look at your sources just as much as others. And the pattern is obvious.
Here is what is obvious. It comes straight from Senator Tuberville who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, the Sub-Committee on Strategic Forces, the Sub-Committee on Readiness And Management Support, and The Sub-Committee on Seapower. He has a full spectrum of knowledge on the war in Ukraine, classified and unclassified. Here is his speech on the floor of the United States Senate. Everyone who doesn't listen to our media knows what is going on in Ukraine. Your ignorance is self imposed:

Russia invaded Ukraine

Ukraine is defending itself against hostile invaders.

Ukraine will decide when to stop, regardless of what we provide for them.

Ukraine is not "losing badly".

Tuberville is a douche
