For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

MSM Demand Zelensky Admit He Can’t Win the War, Report On Ukraine’s Old and Poorly Trained Soldiers Who Are Dying Fast and Panicking Under Fire

I was wondering what a failed Brazilian musician (Paul Ceran) might know about this topic, or for that matter every other subject he pontificates on. His only involvement with politics in his own country is that he had his head inserted in former Brazilian President Bolsonaro' rectum as far as was possible for the whole of his failed administration.

Bolsonaro openly admired the military regime that used to rule Brazil. He tried to stay in office past his term. He has done more to harm the planet's ecosystem than arguably anyone else in my lifetime, with his destructive policies toward the rainforest. He's possibly the vilest human being on the face of the Earth. Fuck that guy and the donkey he rode in on, damn him!

Oh, poor dears. No more relatives and no money either. Guess what. They'll never see either.

There is little doubt in my mind that Ukraine has punched well above its weight, as defenders sometimes do when theoretically outclassed, but full of patriotic spirit and resolve. As Poland did in 1920, Ukraine might well have saved Europe over a century later.

Yep, because after Ukraine, it would've been Moldova, and then the Baltic States.....and without the lead time, Russian could've overrun the Baltic States and sparked off something with Europe. Ukraine has been a kick in the balls to Europe, a big dose of reality. They thought Russia was changing, but the Leopard hasn't changed it's spots at all.....The only real solution here is the complete breakup of the Russian Federation and reducing Muscovy to just another mid-sized European state without it's colonies to exploit.

Like Bakhmut, it was always going to happen if the Russians pushed hard enough. How many casualties did they take capturing it? Ukraine is trading ground for dead Russians. And will continue to do so. Until they don't.

Russia: Konstantin Zavisenov, former Minister of Fuel, Energy & Coal Industry for the occupied 'Luhansk People's Republic' in Ukraine has been assassinated in Moscow with a gunshot to the head. He had just one degree of separation from Putin himself through the Kovalchuk mafia family.

Internal hit? Ukrainian assassination? Who knows.....just another lesson for those who think Luhansk really wanted to be part of Russia that it's the Russian Mafia out to loot and pillage resources.

Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence has reported the assassination of collaborator judge Vitalii Lomeiko in the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A car with Lomeiko inside exploded on 6 Chervonykh Partyzan Street [its new name is Ukrainskykh Partyzan Street – ed.] in the Lysky neighbourhood near the port in the temporarily occupied city of Berdiansk on 2 October 2024. The Defence Intelligence reiterated that Lomeiko was a judge of the Chernihiv District Court of Zaporizhzhia Oblast who remained in occupied Berdiansk, violated his oath of allegiance in wartime and consciously and voluntarily cooperated with the Russian invaders.

"The fate of Vitalii Lomeiko, who was involved in the repression of Ukrainians under occupation and war crimes, is a reminder to all traitors that serving the torturers of the Ukrainian people is dangerous to health and life."

If that is the case it's a losers game. Ukraine will run out of men long before Russia does, having four times the population of Ukraine. Ukraine is out of men of fighting age. that's why their army's average age is 43 and rising.

Ukraine’s minimum conscription age is 25, unlike Russia's, which is drafting kids out of school. Ukraine's limitation right now is now manpower, or rather personnel, because a lot of women volunteer and serve in combat units, but equipment. THAT is fast improving as Ukraine's defense industry picks up steam and foreign military equipment keeps trickling in. There's any number of things needed, as you know, from IFV's to tanks to artillery to trucks to guns to ammo to mines to bullets to First Aid Kits and medical supplies to body armor to helmets to tactical gloves to you name it, it's needed. Ukraine is rapidly moving to becoming more and more self-sufficient. They had a HUGE defense industry sector under the old Soviet Union and there's a lot of skills and industry lying around that's now being repurposed back to defense.

Russia has run out of steam. Kursk? Ukraine's still there and killing Russians. The Donestk front? Russia's only making small gains at enormous cost. Russia has no strategy to win, except to steamroller forward at enormous cost. They can make small gains where they mass huge numbers and throw them in in endless waves backed by their FAB bombs. Elsewhere? They ain't going nowhere and you can bet Ukraine is lining things up and not telling anyone what they're planning, least of all us. Our military leaks like a sieve and as for telling the Biden Administration anything? You gotta be kidding me.

Ukraine is building up for a wave of counteroffensives that should reach a crescendo next year, isolating Crimea and hopefully surrounding urban Donbas. If necessary, Ukrainian offensives will press on into Russia, bringing military facilities in Belgorod and Rostov-on-Don under temporary occupation. Slowly but surely, much like the Union did to the Confederacy in the American Civil War, Ukrainian forces will split the enemy’s armies apart and, once isolated, reduce them one by one. The first step is grinding Moscow’s latest round of assaults to a halt. In Fall, a combination of improved Ukrainian counter-drone activity targeting Moscow’s eyes over the battlefield and Ukraine’s own attack drones could allow Ukrainian troops to systematically overwhelm enemy positions in swift mechanized assaults.

Don't forget the drones.....the ZSU are becoming the masters of drone warfare, and they're becoming far more central than anyone ever imagined three years ago.....

So, the reports of the Ukrainians running out of manpower are overblown. Good to know. I was a bit worried about that prospect.

Ukrainian Armour and Czechoslovak Group (CSG) concluded an agreement on the joint production of 155mm rounds. According to Vladyslav Belbas, the Ukrainian company CEO, next year’s output target is 100,000 rounds, and more than 300,000 for 2026. The process of preparing the manufacturing equipment has already started.

By the end of 2024, Ukraine plans to manufacture 1.5 million war drones, Another area of support for our military is increasing the number of weapons and equipment that Ukraine’s defenders have in service. Every day we work with partners to increase the supply of weapons and work on developing our own military equipment. In 2023, arms production increased threefold: every second piece of munitions in the combat zone is Ukrainian. We will have produced 1.5 million drones by the end of the year. We are not only producing drones, but also training operators,

During the last three to four months, the average number of volunteers who join Ukrainian Defense Forces is about 6,500 per month. This is a significant number of those who voluntarily apply either directly to military units or through recruiting centers or using online platforms, which became our partners a little less than a year ago. The dynamics is positive as more and more people are applying every month

The Franco-German defense conglomerate KNDS has opened a subsidiary in Kyiv that will focus on the maintenance and repair of its systems, including Leopard tanks, CAESAR artillery systems, PzH 2000 howitzers, and the Gepard anti-aircraft tank. Additionally, KNDS and Ukrainian industry are planning joint production of 155-mm artillery ammunition in Ukraine and manufacturing of spare parts using advanced production technologies.

LOL. Wait until I'm on a roll. I skim thru these all the time. Got a good feed set up on Ukraine news. It pushes all the interesting articles to me. Love it. Hard keeping up sometimes tho.

Ukraine Has Matched or Even Surpassed All EU Countries Combined in the Rate of Self-Propelled Artillery Production. The production rate of the Bohdana wheeled self-propelled artillery system has reached 15 units per month, with a peak of up to 20 units, amounting to 180-240 units per year. Now all Ukraine needs is the 155mm artillery ammo to enable them to keep up a high rate of fire. And more and more 120mm mortars and mortar ammo to give Battalions their own organic support.

The key thing to remember here is that, resource extraction excepted, Russia has an economy the size of a US state. When Europe scales up to full production, Russia will bankrupt itself trying to keep up. They will implode...again. Apparently, the lessons of overreach in 1917 and 1991 are being ignored by Putin and his minions.

If Europe could scale up it would have done so by now. It lost Russian fuel and now the Mid East is blowing up too. It will have more trouble keeping lights on, homes heated, and people fed.

Political will and budgets for defense. A lot of European countries counted on the "peace dividend" and downsized their defense forces and they're having a hard time adapting to the new reality, but they are getting their. The defense budgets of the Baltic States and Poland are an example.

Now, Rheinmetall is doing business hand over fist and is also setting up plants in Ukraine -

The problem for Ukraine is that very few 25-year-old men are left to draw from. The draft age in the US is 18. You forget that around 8 million people have left Ukraine, probably never to return. The average age of the army two years ago was 43. its probably higher now. The average age of all armies of WWII was below 27. There is a message in the fact that the average age of the Ukrainian army is 43, and it isn't good. Strategically, this war is over.

Nah. Ukraine keeps mobilizing, Poland is putting together a Ukrainian Brigade, arming, equipping and training. France is doing the same. It's not a manpower issue, it's an equipment issue. They also restructured their mobilization program so that people can select units they wish to join, and units can also recruit directly. This favors the units with a good reputation which is all to the good. For example you can volunteer direct to Azov, and other Army Brigades do the same. They had a real corruption problem with their mobilization commands last year and they got gutted - corruption is a problem and of course their are chickenshits taking the chicken run. Every country has them. God knows we did.

Make History With Azov
