Founders and Framers on the People's Natural Right to Keep and Bear Arms

Saving the people who want to buy guns.

Like, "Oh, I think I'll buy a gun today because I'm unstable and emotionally upset."

Great save. Not only will he pass the tests, but there are another thousand who won't.

Another school shooting, and the solution is "tougher laws" that aren't enforced. Great job, America.

In your world, do all firearms-related crimes happen only in schools and by emotionally upset people?

May God help me, I would never want to do that to a person.

I once told one of my friends, "My goal in life is just to get through it without killing anybody."

Your ONE story seems to be missing. Gun show dealers are have FFL's, they will not risk that for one sale. ;)

Thanks.

Once again, you've convinced me. I'll just forget the nationally-culled data below that disagrees with you.

Gun Shows: Brady Checks and Crime Gun Traces

The ATF reports that between 50% and 75% of the vendors at gun shows possess a Federal Firearms License.

While FFLs are required to maintain careful records of their sales and, under the Brady Act, to check the purchaser’s background with NICS before transferring any firearm, nonlicensees have no such requirements under current law.

Thus, felons and other prohibited persons who want to avoid Brady Act checks and records of their purchase buy firearms at these shows. Indeed, a review of criminal investigations by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) reveals a wide variety of violations occurring at gun shows and substantial numbers of firearms associated with gun shows being used in drug crimes and crimes of violence, as well as being passed illegally to juveniles.

Brady, get a reliable source. Then ask yourself why Holder isn't prosecuting the criminals.;)

That's a media thing. If it bleeds, it leads.

I've never seen someone shot.

Could I do it? Goddamn you betcha.

I think I get it now.

You figured this issue out 10 years ago by watching the nightly news.

In comparison, koala's reasoning sounds enlightened.

Koala is, to put it lightly, a maroon.

I figured this out over ten years by interacting with people like you.

You missed it, I guess. Late to the party?
