I saw this with The Republicans when they purged. The core minority is always okay with losing as long as they enjoy unity of purpose named "principle."

The people in charge of The Democratic Party are disciplining their party and accepting future losses as they price/gambit which must be paid/played. They play a long game and the first play is overwhelming negativity.

America is about to become a dark, dank, damp alleyway in the minds of the coastal elites and their media.
All evidence of prosperity be damned and full hate ahead.

Things will be fine in their protected communities, but they have to rule everyone else's lives because they can find misery and "oppression" that must be battled (with political power, never personal alms) everywhere.
