Guys who Get a Grip: let's talk COCKRINGS, steel, silicone, leather, all

flexible with no stretch

I've never used a cock ring before, and don't quite want to purchase one yet. I was thinking I'd make one that I could wear all day (so no stretch), but also that I could cut off if something went wrong.

I made a few rings of different sizes similar to common steel ring sizes for behind the balls fitting. These are made from climbing webbing, about 1/2" wide. The primary difference between these and most the things on here is that they have no stretch at all, but are flexible and conforming (so really more of a "band" than a "ring").

I have tried wearing them and find them comfortable. I've put a picture below.

Do people have any thoughts on these? Good idea, bad idea? Do you think I could purchase a ring the same radius as the band and have it fit well?

The steel ones are pretty comfortable for all day wear. I like the weight that lets you know it’s there throughout the day. I’m not sure if a flexible band would be the same diameter or not since it’s so forgiving. I don’t think you have anything to worry about getting it off. I will say I was concerned about that at first as well. A steel one does take a little bit of a learning curve at first to get it on. Let’s just say you need to be relaxed.

Hey I think you've made a handsome and comfortable ring for yourself there! I get it about the material being utterly non-stretch and in that sense it is like a steel ring - 'gripping' rather than 'squeezing'. Given an exact right size for yourself I guess this will provide a very comfortable day-wear ring with a feel-good factor and a respectable prominence under clothing. The flexibility of the circle is a different sensation of course from the fixed circle of steel; I know that with wearing a very pliable leather ring sometimes. I would say 'different' rather than better or poorer.

Just a significant thing as regards having sex wearing such a ring as you've made: absorption of fluid?? A partner might feel less inclined to get intimate with a ring with any level of absorption which has been used before. As contrast the certainty of complete cleanliness with a steel ring. But you know the material pal and I don't so my reservation may be nothing.

Thanks for your thoughtful and interesting replies. I think that the comparison to a leather band is exactly right for the feel of what I made, with my material being slightly softer against the skin. The hygiene point is very good as well.

Primarily I wanted to make one ring, try it out, and then quickly make another of whatever size difference I wanted. And I also really want something I can remove without power tools if it's too tight.

Based on your comments, I think I'll try making a new ring from something like InstaMorph (which is a plastic that can be easily molded when warm, but that is rigid at body temperature and could easily cut off).

You may ask why I don't just get steel? I tried one, but it was too big, so I thought I'd figure out what sizes worked for me first. I see that there are other ways to go about this, like ordering a set, but making my own ring seems a bit easier to me. I expect that I'll end up with a steel ring if I can find one in a size that works for me, and I like the idea of the weight of steel too. (I'll post the InstaMorph rings if people are interested, and feel free to pm if you are.)

Steel

My steel ring actually came from the hardware store. It is the largest that I have. 2" ID. Vs 1.875 and 1.75. It works. It's on now for a quickie!

Today leather for a change

King Rings

I wrote about this a while ago, and promised a review. We bought this very beautiful ring from Scott at King Rings. I added a sizing ring to the purchase, to make sure it would fit before opening the packaging, but the size was perfect.

What an amazing ring it is - my woman's eyes almost popped out of their sockets when she saw it in situ. It's wide and heavy in just the right way, and feels extremely good before and during sex (I don't wear my rings through the day, just for the duration!). I would recommend these rings to anyone.

Picture in a link, to avoid angering the gods/mods. :D

Great review, great looking ring. And thanks for sharing the personal pic.
The Father of Pearl is a beautiful ring.

H&N! It's grand to hear that this purchase has been such a good choice! It looks fantastic on you mate. Best to you both! Simon

I must research this more. I have a good friend who SWEARS by a cockring, and I've tried one, but was only moderately impressed. I have a stainless one that fits me well when erect, as long as I'm not chilly. Though my equpment is a bit larger than the statistical range of average, I have a rather *compact* scrotum, so if it gets cold, the boys may get misplaced and that's not fun.

Just got my first (silicone)

Now want a metal one...

36 pages should be enough to find out what I need

I've been wearing my stainless as a daily for the past two weeks... winter season is wonderful that
