Have you ever been drawn...

Growing up I wanted to be an animator, and nearly went to college for it (long story). I have a lot of appreciation for the visual arts.

Twice I’ve been drawn by lovers, both of whom are tattoo artists in Singapore. They are both very skilled and have totally different artistic styles. I’m happy to share here for a short time.
(as for the 2nd one — you should have that looked at — by a doctor, not just a lover/tattoo artist) ;)

I sketched this pose of my future wife the first time she was nude in my bed. I am not an artist, obviously. I often think about having a better drawing that could be shown proudly to friends and family in our game room.

I see some definite skill there. A wonderful intimate keepsake/memory.

I should restate or state more clearly — Life drawing is NOT about sex or sexualization. It is a very serious process for me. Keep in mind that I am not a very serious person. For me the process is not strictly academic. I feel that the best life drawings are about a connection, an empathy with another human being. Although there is an element of objectification — the model is an "object" with volume, weight, light and shadow, they are also much more than just that.

On the occasions where I find the model to be attractive, then the process becomes more intense.

I haven't had a chance to get to the café, but I had my annual physical on Wednesday, so I took along my sketchbook.
Naturally, just after I got seated my potential victims were called in. The only one left was on of the office staff. Eventually he sat still-ish for a few minutes, though his hand kept moving, sorting, stapling papers. Sometimes that's okk, if there are enough repeat movements. Not so much this time, so he ended up with a wonky hand.

A finer pen and/or no mask mandate (for me) and I might have put in some detail and shading. Still, worth a go.

Note: not a bit of sexual thoughts for me. :)
Had there been a different nurse or Doctor there may have been.

"had to"?
My initial thought of "That might be fun" was pushed aside by the legitimate concern that being naked in front of a group of college kids my age would lead to my getting terribly turned on.

Interesting. I had never noticed a female model getting turned on. Perhaps they never did.
I know some guys think that any time nipples get hard that the woman is aroused.

I would think that the bigger concern would be immature college guys drawing. Though most of those in art classes are serious about art.

Unless you are incredibly observant it’s not always easy to see how turned on a woman is, even when they are nude.

however I expect artists are just that observant

There was this one time I was drawing a woman and after about a half hour, we took a break and she got up, came over and straddled my thigh and started humping. I can't be certain, but she seemed a little aroused.

I once told a man I’d dreamt about him, and when he asked for details I said “Don’t worry you were good” give him that look and walked away giggling, then looked back and smiled

still took him 2 weeks to ask me out

and even then I had to move in so he kissed me

As a young woman I found those fairly obvious signals

<swallows slowly> on the contrary, you write …very well

that was hot…and I feel embarrassed about the naivety in my previous post…now that is an obvious flirt
Happy that you think so. :)

It was only partially true.

As far as I know, no model has flirted with me. (aside from models I already had some sort of relationship with)
But as I previously noted — I can be and have been oblivious.

Cut me a break, I was playing hard to get! I knew you weren't going to give up.

My son painted a portrait of me a while back. He's a good artist. I was tempted to ask him did you have to be so realistic? :)

Well, in this context one could read into that. ;)

"Paint me like your French mother."
