Have you ever heard the voice of anyone else from this forum?

Let's see I've of course spoken with Dusty that's a definate everyday atleast twice a day thing. Her voice is music to my ears she is soft spoken actually lots of people when we do three way get confused because they think we sound alike.

I've spoken with KgBoot not sure who to describe his voice.

April-Wine she has a subtly sexy voice reminds me of a fine wine.

WillfulBrat sexy southern accent.

Kestral and Mikey both.

Dilly on the cell when he met with Dusty.

Also Vivid and Darien they don't post all that much.

I think that's all lol.

Actually Ruby, she's appearing in my av. :D For a limited run only, she should be home and back on the boards with us someday soon.

She keeps making noises of going out to visit you too, luv. So don't be too sad. You're right though, "stunning" is exactly the word for her beauty. i'd seen her in DOZENS of pictures, but i was nearly knocked flat by the 3D animated version.

I just keep coming back to this thread to look at Freya. You look good too, Dr., that is, when I can pry my eyes off of her.

Noises about visiting moi? *swoons*

"Anyway - i'm down to 20 minutes. Who wants to talk!!!???
:D "

Um...
Wait, you're not there any more.

I was - and so i talked with Siren. Now i'm getting the little boy to bed (teeth brushing then book reading then cuddling) then i'll probably be talking with mg, if she hasn't given up in disgust and gone off to bed. Those east coasters just hang like us in the west.
;)

This east coaster will be up for at least another couple of hours. The name may have morning in it, but i'm a true night owl and i can freely indulge in that tendency for another week.

Anyone wants to talk, just pm me.

Well I met BlondeGirl, who has not been around much this summer. She has a strong Texas voice, sweet but firm...

Other than that I haven't talked to anyone on the phone.... but if you want to talk just pm me and we can!

Oh and i heard ShyGuy's voice on his website... very smooth and kinda quiet....

Full dance card hun? Typical.
It's a wonder I go to these balls anymore.

wow - now I'm sat at work 5.30pm -everyone else knocked off at 5pm and I have had a full day - really wishing I could hear some of those voices you've all been describing. Not sure how I woudl pick though - do i want to be soothed or made to laugh - maybe SpectreT - I think he could do both or possibly you Blue - I am very curious now as to how your voice would sound.

I have been told I have very light voice and despite the fact that I sing alto a much higher breathier voice than people expect. It is also very distinctive (apparantly) with an accent all of its own. If I get technically advanced enough I'll try and make a soudn file and post it on here somewhere.

Anyway in the mean time - you just know I'll talk to some of you anytime we could work the timezones and mysteries of transatlantic calls out!
Willow you're over here right - PM me if you want to!

And ShyGuy! That's a cool idea! i'll have to put a voice clip of some kind at one of my web sites. i'll check out your example and rob you blind of anything i can use. i'll also swap you for anything i can think of you might like. :D Deal?

You go right ahead and "borrow" my idea! I actually think I borrowed it from another site myself as well ;)

Now you've got me excited

I love voices, and find it much easier to talk to someone face to face than to write to them. The phone just isn't as good, but better than nothing. I have often wondered what different members sound like. You can tell so much more about someone from the voice, what they mean to say, what is beneath the surface. I'm sure the fact that I'm a talker more than a writer has colored my Lit experience to a large extent. Perhaps I would come off very differently in person than I do on the board, I don't know. If I posted as much as I talk I would have hit 50,000 by now. :)

{and bigs hugs, cymbidia}

I wonder if anyone has the capacity to set up some kind of a conference call, we could have a phone party!

There is the facility on Yahoo (possibly MSN and ICQ too) to have a conference voice chat. That could be fun!

IF anything is set up ... I would love to take part.

Yup, I have.

Good Answer

cym, you really should have told me sooner that you wanted to talk to me. I would have talked to you anytime. You just had to say the word.

the last time I heard voices...

They took me away and gave me lots of drugs!

I've just gotten off the phone, after having talked to cym for about ½ an hour.

It was very nice to talk to her, and she seems like the kind of person that I can talk with about everything for hours and hours. I got the impression that she have a vast amount of knowledge about a wide span of subjects, and quite a few of them are the same subjects that I'm interested in.

Hopefully some day I'll be on the west coast of the States, so I can sit down with her and talk.

Shyguy has a deeply soothing and surprisingly authoritarian kind of voice, one that carries with it an aura of quiet control. I found our conversation easy and pleasant, and look forward to talking with him again.

As Shyguy (who is not shy, btw) already knew before we spoke, i had a Danish dominant once upon a time. It's been forever, though, since i heard the accent from someone in the lifestyle so maybe my reaction was tainted just a little bit by those recollections.

It's a lovely accent.

i have spoken to a couple of people on the msn and yahoo.

eastcoastbaby (a "once upon a time" reg from lit chat) who has a husky sexy voice.
aprilwine: her canandian accent takes a little time to get used to. She has an infectious laugh
sweetnick: now his voice is deep ...

international calls would cost a bomb..as dr said, msn is free and accessible!!

I speak to cymbidia, of course, all the time. She sounds bubbly and young and full of joy and life.

In the less-regular-Forum-posters category, I've spoken to lavender, KillerMuffin, Dillinger, Rubyfruit, seXieleXie, and Todd.

Lavender sounds like a young, educated, Texan smoker. That fits, as she is all four of those things. I personally don't think we sound even a little bit alike. People who have spoken to us both either hear it immediately or agree with us--that we don't sound even a little alike.

KillerMuffin sounds like a country girl, in a good way. Her voice makes me think of sitting on the porch, having an ice tea, gossiping about the neighbors. Very relaxed, expressive and relatable voice. Also, she sounds like the kinda woman one might call a "gal" in an affectionate way, and who wouldn't take the slightest bit of offense at the idea.

Dillinger sounds like a slightly stuffy New Englander by way of Texas, with a nice mixture of Mid-Atlantic nasal "r"s and Texan round vowels. He also sounds like he's about to laugh, or cough, or break into a string of Tourette's Syndrome epithets, often. Not that that's a bad thing. ;)

Rubyfruit probably thinks I don't know what she sounds like, since cym got her, leXie and another poster to call and wake me up! She sounds like the young, go-getting Mommie you'd meet at a PTA planning meeting. Smiling comes easily to her, I'd guess. A little Texas, a little California--very Southwestern vocal patterns and rhythm to her speech.

seXieleXie (also in the woke-me-up category) sounds older than she is, a little bit raspy in that Bette Davis kind of way, and definitively Californian. You almost expect to hear a "Dude!" somewhere in there, which makes an interesting contrast to the actual sound of her voice.

Todd sounds a little tight-chested, like his speech comes from his chest and sinuses more than from the diaphragm. Also, he's got the stereotypically Canadian double-O pronunciation of the "ou" sound--he says "aboot" for "about," for instance. In contrast to the sound of his voice, his speech pattern is relaxed, open, and very casual, even when discussing religion. *poke* [You know I loves ya, Todd. Even when you were Bobtoad...] :p

Thanks, Risia! Nice to hear from you...

That answer alone would have made this thread worth starting. It sounds as if you chew every word you hear and hold it on your aural tongue, before you swallow it.

i'll bet you use the same sort of epicurian "savoring" mechanism when listening to music. It does increase the rewards, if you stick to quality material, i think.

Bon appetit, mon cher

  :) :rose:

I have a fairly strong Welsh accent, and I talk too fast, and I've been working on that because I do a lot of work on the phones.

I tend to be nervous initially and it can take me a while to relax, but once I am relaxed my talking gets faster and faster !

I can't say I've ever spoken to a fellow Lit member though :(

Gee, Skally! i wish i could FIX that!

The welsh influence is one so rarely heard on the few BBC transplant shows i get to see. Since your return, i've been a very happy spectator to your antics.

And i LOVE it when Rik Mayall gets smacked in the head with a frypan! (they used to smack him about quite a lot in "The Young Ones" too, didn't they?)

i'll bet we could think of a LOT of things to talk about. i listen with extreme speed!

i know that the MSN thingy works btween here and London. Wales is closer to Minnesota. i think this could be great!

i'll make a big wish before i go to sleep.

*polite cough*

You can actually have a 3 way (or 4, 5 , 6 etc way) chat using MSN .....

Since my last post to this thread I have a new voice to add to this list.

I've voice chatted on Yahoo with Carl East. He had a wonderful british accent. Sort of a tenor quality to his speaking voice and can sing quite well. I just love listening to him talk.
