Just joking. Honestly, the forums can be lots of fun if you just jump right in. You will get jerks and assholes, because, well, we are all human. I myself am something of a rude bitch sometimes (I know, I know, y'all are all in shock at the very idea ) but I can be nice, too.

Don't let one bad experiance scare you away. If you have something to say here, say it. To hell with the rude people - if you wait for them to shut up, you will spend your life in silence.

I WAS playing nice! I LOVE MissTaken! (Did you know that MissTaken? ) I was hoping she WOULD post a thread that she would find interesting, as it would be likely to be one that I would find so, too. But thank you for telling me if that's not how it came off.

I DID get it that she was thinking it might be more than a a coinky-dink, but since I'm not the one who brought this thread back, I can't speak to that part of the post.

And as for You, Mr. Has-friends-who-run-with-scissors (or, in this case, scalpels), despite telling me to play nice twice, you have not yet Seen me play Not-Nicely! I've only done that once, at Lit, on the How-To board when I got tired of a troll, and decided to parse him finely. (Admittedly, I did clip an innocent passer-by with one meant for the troll but otherwise my aim was true. Don't worry -- if I mean something in more than a smartass sense, I promise to label it thusly -- This time I'm Not Playing Nicely.

As I told another Dom, whom I now consider a friend, but who at one point was having a hard time dealing with me -- just think of me as a Domme Absolutely Insists on being treated as a Sub. Does that help? If not, how about as a mid-sized lynx in kitten's clothing, or a mountain lion raised as a housepet, that doesn't quite know its own strength at times?

Not into flame wars, though sometimes heavily into teasing, but felt misunderstood, so clarified. I 'get you' as an honorable sort who is careful to do things correctly, whereas I'm admittedly more sloppy but well-meaning.

Aack ,now feel I have to explain my explanations!
1. I know but said labels do color our view and responses, I've noticed.
2. I get it that it's voluntary and such.
3. I never doubted that. I'm try to be more careful as a matter of fact, around those I worry about their self-defense capabilities. (Skyblue also didn't strike me as helpless! so I think about whom I'm talking to, thought not always about listeners.

I hear that babe. However, one of the nice things about Lit is that they tend to be pretty relaxed on the rules. I can't say I'm one for all the pomp and circumstance of BDSM myself. I'm really just a pretty normal guy who can't help but be rough and demanding during sex, and has ethical problems putting vanilla women in situations they don't want to be in.

I should have explained myself a bit better. My ennui comes and goes. It is cyclic. I am approaching my third anniversary at lit and find that my vigor with regard to posting has dropped off significantly. That should not be taken as an insult to anyone who is entertaining and fun , or informative and thought provoking. It just is.

I enjoy lit, whether I am lurking or posting. I just don't get the same rush that I used to when a thread goes well, or a joke comes off as amusing as I had hoped.

Further, if I have started a hundred threads on this forum, I would estimate that I would have started ten times that many throughout lit. LOL I am out of thread ideas, folks!

me, but think that is awesome. You are one of the posters I lurk after and all over. I may not always agree with your POV, but love your posting style!!!!

And I am sorry I wasn't more clear about my post. It really was a post made because the bumping of the thread was such a coincidence.

Anyway, this thread was originally started to help me to gather some ideas for the forum to promote more posters engaging in discussions. It has done that quite well and I welcome any further input.
