I don't use it alone; that is to say, I use it with a partner. So, in combination with other stimulations, it is quite nice. And yes, can be painful, too. But pain's part of the pleasure for me.

I've never pumped an anus, so I can't answer to that. However, a pumped cit or the entire pussy may take 4 or 5 hours to return to normal. It depends on the amount of pressure used and how long it was kept applied. The fuller the puffiness, the longer it lasts.

Yes, I did, that's most of the fun of it for me. I like any kind of restriction and pressure - that's part of why I like corsets, and I even like the blood pressure cuff at the doctor's office. Probably true for men, and maybe for clitoral use, but I think rigging something up for use on the vulva would be hard because you need a good seal on a curved shape. $20-30 isn't bad for the Doc Johnson pump I got; you can buy fancier stuff from places like MedicalToys.com but if you just get the cheap kind I'd imagine it's about the same as what you'd pay for supplies to put one together yourself. (Again, this applies to women...a homemade pump for men would probably be easier.)
