But it got me to thinking about the stockings, heels. Is this an across the board appeal part of femdom? Or more of a niche? Why isn't it as appealing on the flip side - for a guy to dress me up in something that negates my gender attributes?

I'm just thinking out loud -- I'm thinking that, as a man, dressing up in stockings and heels and other feminine things feels humiliating. Is that the appeal? Or is it something different?

Just reading back over some missed stuff, and read this. As a man who enjoys the lingerie side of things, I would say the fem dom aspect is entirely unrelated. I dress because I like the sensual nature of the clothes I am not, routinely, encouraged or allowed to wear in 'polite' society. I don't wear because it makes me feel humiliated, because that would mean, to me, that a woman dressed in stockings and heels would also be humiliating for her... and that is definitely not the case.

For me its just different sensations, and if I were to switch and take my place as a gently dommed man it could be in my own clothes or my femme clothes, that is not what the femdom bit would be about for me. Not sure if that makes sense, and to be fair there are few women who tolerate let alone find arousing, the idea of a man so dressed. And its a woman's touch I desire as again, and perhaps uncommonly, I am not bi or gay, I have no desire to transform or submit to a man - a cock is not an object of desire to me.

Absolutely, barefootgirl, absolutely. If I were to switch and enjoy gentle femdom it could be in either mail or female clothing, to suit perhaps the Domme. Another poster noted that men's clothing was rarely sensual and arousing, and that women have adopted the traditionally male attire of trousers and top very easily and hence the 'humiliation' perceived by a man wearing femme clothing is not easily replicated by a woman wearing a mans clothing

Gentle femdom can involve a man dressing, and forced femdom often seems to. That aspect does nothing for me.
