I don't know where you live but shopping in gay neighborhoods introduced me to options I wouldn't ever have imagined existed, and no, I'm not talking about kink gear or anything, just different ways of making men's underwear.
 
On the subject of "pouches" and "pouch underwear:"

There's more than one kind. They can be very different.

I wouldn't call what SAXX makes a pouch. It's more like a silo - there are a couple of vertical lengths of fabric inside which serve to keep the balls from touching the thighs, but this construction only goes alongside the balls, not under them, so, it doesn't enclose them in any way.

Certain 2(X)IST models and the "standard" pouch-underwear out there have a lateral bit of fabric which separates the balls from the thighs, but forms an actual kind of cup for them. When I refer to "standard pouch-underwear" what I mean is that there are only a couple of makers who specifically use that terminology, though there seem to be quite a few who make similarly constructed undies.

Then you get brands like Andrew Christian and (a while ago, I think they aren't made anymore) UDY, which take the standard-pouch idea further by shaping the cup in such a way that it lifts the balls and pushes them forward quite a lot more. It's still a pouch but the point is more than just keeping ball skin and thigh skin apart. Let me put it this way - Andrew Christian has trademarked the name, "Show-It™️ technology."

Finally my favorite: The pouch is not inside the underwear, it's like outside of it. Instead, the briefs are constructed so that the pouch is like a whole separate compartment out front. Almost like a whole sock for the junk, separating it from the inside of the shorts. One example is the 2(X)IST Maximize shapewear trunk. Another example is various models from the maker Krakatoa, good examples are Pinatubo brief and Haleakea trunk. Also for a really vivid picure, search for "WildmanT Big Boy Pouch Boxer Brief."

This is my favorite type because it feels the best. And it has this nice side effect of presenting the shape of the junk really, really well. It can look like you're freeballing, but it's even better because you're lifted and held out forward a little more than when dangling unsupported. Behind jeans, slacks or shorts, there's definitely something to look at, whereas any other flat-front underwear only reveal a bulge in certain clothes or from certain angles or in certain positions. Even the Andrew Christian Show-It™️ models only enhance the bulge, they don't reveal the shape.

But honest to God, comfort is why it's my favorite. The side effect is just a nice bonus :)

Some are like that. The Andrew Christian I mentioned above lifts and pushes out in front.

I think that the 2(X)IST Maximize I mentioned is quite a bit better for the best looking bulge. The effect is a lot closer to having no underwear at all, and the way that prints through pants is maximized compared to having regular underwear. But it's more natural looking and more revealing than the lift-and-push type.

With lift-and-push you see a round bulge, kind of a shapeless mass. With the "sock" type of pouch, what you see isn't shapeless at all, it's shaped like your junk. And it's prominent in front not because it's lifted and pushed, but because it isn't flattened against your body like plain underwear does.
 
Some of these are quite expensive. My first experience with the pouch was with Hanes, which are less expensive, and I really got hooked with the feeling. Then it was, let me try some others. The Hanes pouch is two vertical bands which hug the thighs and is on either side of your package. So basically it’s open and your junk is held out and away. Then there’s a thin piece of material which creates the pouch. So the feel is like holding you away from your body. Great feeling to get you started with pouches.

My favorite is Obviously pouch underwear. I like their boxer brief with the 9" inseam, and I like the "Anatomax" pouch because I'm big enough to need to extra room. the guys hang naturally, no sticking of my scrotum to my thighs, no adjusting during the day. The best underwear is the kind you forget you're wearing. It does push your package forward, so if you're wearing slacks and you're self-conscious about a crotch bulge, these might not be for you.
